Wrong activity type when importing from Movescount
-
Hi,
when moves are imported from Movescount via linking SportsTracker the activity category is sometimes wrong.(or at least unprecise). I found the following:
Indoor cycling --> Cycling
Scuba diving --> Watersports
You can change the activity type by editing the move within the app, so the correct category is there.I’ve tried with indoor cycling, when doing the sync via watch/suunto app directly, the activity type is correct.

Just checked and you are correct. I’ll create an issue for this. Thanks @gest83

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos The connection between Movescount and Sports Tracker was done earlier, when the ST app did not have all the same activities as Movescount. Thus, some of the activities had to be mapped to the “closest” activity in ST. Now with the Suunto app, there are same activities as in Movescount, but the integration works still the “old” way.

@kleelaine yeah. You are correct.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos I know. After all, I did the initial mapping when ST and MC had different activities:)
-
@kleelaine yeah hehe. I am new to this info and especially ST.
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos No worries, just having a laugh with this one:)
Of course, the development has continued (since I left) so I don’t have the latest info anymore. With new Suunto app these type of “contingency” errors may appear, as there’s a lot of existing development done that may conflict with current development. -
Hi, this is a known issue and will be fixed when the MC->Suunto app integration is complete.
