@bulldogg Maybe it is just iOS app issue and not watch nor your cloud data. If you don’t have access to any android app to check, maybe you can access Sportstracker on the Web, login with your Suunto account and check if your activity recorded laps are uploaded to cloud (sports-tracker.com and Suunto are sharing same database) [image: 1766032164026-screenshot_20251218_052558_chrome.jpg]

@Mennekk I guess you’re right. afaik the only way to disable DND during activity is to switch to watch mode and to access the control panel

@DelHand said in Sunnto Run HR reads too high: @zagazoo Readings are consistent with my Wahoo chest strap most of the time. However, at some points during the run, my measured HR will increase from around 145bpm up to 180bpm with no perceived change of effort and no change reported on chest strap. This might persist for several minutes. I’ve never had (and all my running buddies) any problems with the chest strap in over 5 months apart from the known issues that have been fixed.

@GiPFELKiND said in Bug: power meter loses connection in activity: @Olaf-Gottschalk same Problem with Bluetooth heart rate Sensor… Suddenly breaks and lost for the whole Session I am convinced it is a bug in Suunto’s BT algorithm combined with how some sensors enter a sleep mode or something like this. For my HR sensor (Wahoo) it never had an issue like my Wahoo SpeedPlay power pedals have. But yes, I can see the exact same problem happening with any kind of sensor. Suunto’s BT software is kind of unforgiving once it loses connection. Will never return, never recover, and does not give the user a feedback and option to reconnect in the session. That is the problem. Plus: it was NOT an issue prior to Suunto changing the complete BT stack!

@Kriss said in Suunto Run restarts during activity: Also wonder how many days of battery life people are getting? I run every day for an hour with the chest strap, HR 24/7 with the sleep/HRV functions activated, no aod, no notifications, always performace mode when training, which means ~10% per day. The latest update seems pretty good in terms of battery life.

I’am a Suunto Race user from germany and I can confirm that one of the last software updates also happened in the middle of the night and woke me up with a super bright display (like the flashlight app). After installing this update my watchface went back to its default settings, so that I had to reconfigure it again. I don’t know if there was a good reason for that or if it was a bug.

@Olaf-Gottschalk My main activity is biking (trail / enduro) and I use OHR. It stops receiving HR literally every single ride. I’ve noticed that it stops when I make a short pause during a ride. It may be a traffic light or sip of water. Then OHR shows impossible low level for HR instead of real one. My solution is to remove watch from my wrist, clean the sensor and put it back on. It works for me (mostly). It takes some time - so maybe this is also a factor. But it is very annoying to have that kind of problem. I am forced to observe the watch to catch the moment when problem occurs. SUUNTO - please verify this case. And fix it please.

@Sportsfreund said in Suunto Race Crashed again mid ride... 🤮: @Olaf-Gottschalk Ist denn Suunto schon mal während einer Aktivität abgestürzt? Das hatte ich bisher noch nicht. Das war ja der Grund für meinen Beitrag… Ja. Schon mehrmals. Seit ich sie habe 3 mal…

Soft reset seems to have fixed the issue somewhat. Clearly a memory management issue, which seems to be a recurring issue with these watches. A bit surprising that there is no warning mechanism for this sort of thing.

@Olaf-Gottschalk I do not think this is a huge problem, you may not have had a complete sync with the watch when you first looked at the app. It almost always does work in the background. The data are not “wrong” as your watch may have thought that you had woken up earlier, perhaps you were moving around in your sleep. Personally, I would take all of these metrics cautiously. If you are planning training based on what your watch is telling you IMHO you are entirely misguided. It is fine to use the information to help guide you but I believe nothing is better than your body and brain at making decisions regarding sleep, restfulness and your ability to exercise.

@Elipsus said in Bug while following GPX track “marked path”: @Egika oh i see, i understand a bit more the snap to route… However, I’m still not sold on it, because “what if” the gpx track given by the organisaion isn’t perfect somewhere/had to make a last minute detour ? I have the very real risk of a completely butchered map display… From my point of view, not handling this situation seems a bit of an oversight… For my next run I will stay on the intinery thing without directions, thanks for the advice You can still follow the provided GPX track without using the snap to route feature. Your watch will show the GPX planned route, the activity will be plotted by GPS and the deviation will be captured properly in the app afterwards.
