In the new Spartan FW released in 2047, we had this feature, why not implement it again ?

        🙂

Sorry, fusedalti is so nice feature, but if we trust it, we may be wrong, and angry when in front of path panel, with wrong altitude 🙂

but fusedalti will correct if we are on a 12h or longer tour and when going into another valley with different pressure and weather it will correct it. That’s why I like it… but a notification would be great! 👍

I personally adjust attitude manually almost every day… FuseAlti can help, but for me manually adjusting is more reliable 😊

i would like this option and process :
on activity launch, watch to propose the current GPS altitude known, whatever if watch decides it is not precise enough. And let me decide if i let it use this altitude to initial calibration, or not.

So many time, fused alti don’t change altitude where i live, and for any place where start altitude is not know, a raw initial GPS altitude would be nice to be set.

then let the fusedalti algorythm work, but if it fails, first calibration is still done “roughly” but better than too many meters off.

it’s because you know exactly what you are doing but you don’t know exactly what the watch is doing 😉

Yes, I tried couple of times auto adjustment on known attitude and it didn’t go that well…

@TELE-HO Good idea, but only problem is when altitude is start drifting again in next walley with different pressure than before than fuesed alti will again need to ask wather to use gps or manual altitude. My fused alti on SSS Baro is not 100% correct so even if I enter correct altitude it overwrites my altitude with not so correct one.

@nseslija I have a question. Why changing reference altitude creates spike in air pressure graph, although weather trend didn’t change. It confuses me because if I enter slightly different ref altitude than it is in the watch because it drifted, than it creates spike in baro graph and confuses weather trend. My old core didn’t do that. On entering ref altitude it only changed sea level pressure number, but did not alter the graph? So now if I regulary enter ref. altitude it always creates spike in baro graph and alters it

@khooteng I rarely adjust my altitude. FusedAlti works well for me but I typically have exercises with 300m gain/loss on weekdays and more on the weekends. I think with small hills it is typically more of a problem.

@bbx100 As far as I know, absolute air pressure is measured constantly but not displayed on the watch, Sea level air pressure is what you see on the watch…

@Brad_Olwin and to the rest of the community, Thanks for your inputs.

Looks like I just have to hope and trust that the watch is able to self correct.
BTW how can we tell if the watch had already self-adjusted it’s altitude? TIA!
