@isazi I did it. The watches have been replaced. The same issue.
After playing with different features i would conclude that Mobile notifications consume enormously big amount of power. Once switched off the watches’ life back to regular behaviour.
On the other hand i am not sure the reason the service provider replaced my watches with new ones))

@Atlen I think that some combinations (watch+phone) have issues with BT connection and drains battery. In my case, Suunto Spartan Sport + Android BQ Aquaris Xpro, with BT activated in phone, battery drains very quick

I had the same with a BQ Aquaris X (No Pro)…, I’ve changed the phone for a Motorola One Vision and looks quite better now, but I’m using the “test” apk shared by @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos, are you using this apk too?

          Good point @cosmecosta

we have a special Android app version to test if needed. Would you want me to share this?

@jseguir may be the combination is causing such issue. I do not know how to enforce my combination work with full range of needed features on and reasonable power consumption. Nevertheless i would recommend to develop the soft tool to monitor power consumption by various modes on Suunto watches. It could be helpful to indicate the problematic point in-house. And it could also bring useful stats to Suunto developers’ team.

Three hours a week I run, something on the treadmill or outdoors (depending on the weather). I use Stryd and HR belt. My watch lasts 11-12 days.
I only use the watch in energy save mode, without HR measurement.

@Durri I hope I will get similar (or near) times when I get back to both outdoor running and treadmill in 2-3 weeks for about 4 hours a week + circuit/gym training. I would be glad with once a week charge if there’s less GPS activity. I would like to use daily and sleep HR.
It should be noticeable difference in battery usage with treadmill vs outdoor performance gps+galileo or other positioning system.

I just mentioned in other topic - The battery on S9B (almost) without touching buttons and about 5 minutes of total backlight time lasted for 16 days (it is at 9% now), every tracking off (daily HR and sleep) in airplane mode and I was complaining. This is fine.

BTW, off topic - my couple of years old miBand 2 is on 38th day since charge (now at 3%) with daily and sleep tracking, calls/notifications ON and everyday alarm (it has much better and noticeable vibration than S9) with few times a day checking time/date, steps and battery, always connected with BT. That is impressive. 🙂 Specs say 30 days.
I was hoping to replace it with S9, especially during the night for wake up alarm, but vibration on S9 is so weaker. Also the step counting I mentioned… 🙂

Just to add my Penny’s worth. Charge my S9 last night from 2% to 100% went to bed with it on. When I woke up it was on 88% .

Observation - lost 50% in exactly 3 and a half days (charged just before midnight on sunday). Daily activity and sleep HR ON, Notifications OFF, Flight mode ON.
No other usage (including syncing or touching buttons), light OFF all the time. I had about similar percentage after the first night. That should be one week battery life as in specs, but I don’t know if they count in backlight and notifications. If they do, there’s no way to get 7 days battery life.

BTW - I just saw reviews of Huawei GT2 (and Honor Magic 2), as a sort of competitor to Suunto 7 (and 9 in a way) for daily watch with sport features, and they get impressive battery life of 2 weeks with daily and nightly tracking, accurate GPS and OHR…at much lower price.

Before the HRV firstbeat feature (body resources) has been delivered, S9 could definitely go for a week or longer, but the HRV takes too much battery,

Have you tried to turn off the daily HR and see how it goes?

Daily HR and sleep tracking consume quite some battery. There is a thread about this in the forum.

I mentioned already I have tested it with everything turned off and got 16 days.
I haven’t tried with just daily HR turned off.

Yes, I am aware it consumes the most juice and hope for some optimization in the future.

                                  Hi All
Was any solution for quick discharge found?
I got a very similar problem after I forgot to charge my watch and they were discharged to 0%
Now after charging they discharging very quickly (~2% per hour, 2-day max battery life without any activities)
                                  I tried the next solution

                                  1. Soft reset
                                  2. Factory reset
                                  3. I disable Sleep monitoring and daily HR monitoring
                                  4. I turn on flight mode
In all cases, battery life was almost the same from 40 to 45 hours

Is any way to figure what is going on?
                                  Thanks

@Jenya-Obolonskiy maybe battery got uncalibrated? Try to charge it to 100% and leave it there for a while after. Try to see if the watch turns off at 0% or not. And if nothing works, contact support.

                                        From my S9 Baro:
In 4 days the battery was totaly drain. Without any activity. Backlight 35% and everything on(sleep, 24/7 tracking, notification). When I’ve brought this watch, Suunto said that the 24/7 tracking and notification = 7 days. And why now we are trying to: disable this, and this and this? When normally, the watch should last 7 days? Ok, I can understand if there are 6 days. But when are 4 days (almost half of 7), I’m sorry but something is weird…
I’ve brought this watch 1 year and 5 months ago…

                                        Best,
                                        Bogdan
