Quick question - I know there has been some complaints about intervals and how they are implemented.

I’m about to buy a SSSHRBARO and i just need to confirm that if i am out on a run and randomly decide to want to do some intervals that i can somehow push a button, or get to intervals through the menus while not stopping my existing activity?

    cheers!

@Colin-Hill Not only you can start them, you can stop the intervals in the middle, that you started in the middle of a run πŸ˜„

What’s even better, you can run one set of intervals, drop into options, reprogram the intervals for different distances, and do it again. Oh, and intervals are available across all sports modes. Not just running.

Only Polar in new Vantage series has something comparable. Garmin and COROS got nothing on this!

Just to precise a bit, but you will discover after purchase πŸ˜‰ both @Saketo-Nemo and @NickK answers are true, but it will prerequisite before either to use a custom sport mode (with interval screen addition), or a basic predefine running intervalle mode, with that screen already set in it.
Custom sport mode must be created before activity :), but once done, you can activate interval as explained πŸ™‚

@NickK This is nice feature which I myself discovered juts recently. Unfortunately SA falls short here as SA can only list one set of intervals recorded this way 😞 Luckily in the summary text both of the sets are listed, however it tells only average time and bpm for the whole set.

                    Interessting. Potential for SA future…

@mountainChris Searched this forum for the issue and it seems that this issue with multiple sets of intervals not showing up properly in SA is actually an issue with FW. According to another thread this was fixed for S9 a long time ago so my guess is that with Spartan series this will go unfixed until the bitter end.
