S7 roadmap: what are Suunto plans here?
-
With all the settings laid out as they are ( which is fine for me) being able to also change ones that affect battery life in one area would be good
-
Any news for updates??
-
no news = bad news?
come on Suunto!
-
Hold on guys
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos we are willing to celebrate the āBRING YOUR SUUNTO CABLE TO THE OFFICEāS DAYā hahahahahaha

Mine needs one for charging
-
Not the mine !
-
I bought one extra charger to leave at the officeā¦ just for update hahaha

@NickK
The best from my perspective would be GPS routes import and guidance (honestly I thought it is on the watch before buying, so little bit dissapointed), and would be good to have Sleep quality and stress level inbuild. And I would add more spaces for cards, and more cards options.

After some weeks this will be my useful wishlist:
-
possibility to disable watch hr sensor during activity in order to save battery (I.e. if I do bike I put my watch on bike support without using watch hr sensor)
-
Possibility to manage Bluetooth devices (bike cadence, and so on) as on my Ambit 3
-
Completely switch off display if there is no accelerometer activity as on my Ambit 3 (I donāt know if drain more battery AOD or always check activity but will be nice)
-
General battery duration improvement, I only use Bluetooth notifications (no Google fit, no wifi, manual illumination to mid-slow, only AOD enabled) but It cannot last more than two days without gps activity
I hope you agree too and to see many of this points on next sw releases.
Thanks

@drunners definitely agree with point 1. If Iām wearing the S7 on the outside of my jacket thereās no point looking for HR.

Actually, this might not be needed. I only just noticed that the hr sensor seems to disable itself when not in contact with skin. I tried placing other things on top, such as material from my jacket, and the sensor didnāt seem to kick inn.

On 3 - does it do something like this already?
I notice occasionally if I wake in the night no matter how much I move to try and get it to display, I have to press a button to get to see the time, as though the watch has gone into a non-disturbing mode because Iāve been still ?
-
@nigel-taylor-0 sounds like theater mode or whatever they call it now.

Well put. āTheoryter modeā?
-
@aleksander-h Indeed, but thereās nothing that Iāve activated or enabled that Iām aware of.
I think it happens if I fall asleep in front of the TV watching football on a Sunday afternoon after a long run too, so its nothing scheduled as such.

I must start using spell checkers before posting.

@nigel-taylor-0 what settings are you using?
AOD on off?
Touch to wake? Tilt to wake? Power save tilt?
Watch face? Suunto power save watch face?Basically this shouldnāt be occuring - if you have AOD on, the most it should do is stay in ambient mode. The only time it should time out like that is if it the watchis off your wrist and has been for an hour or so, then yes screen will power off, watch goes into sleep mode (bluetooth is disconnected) and seems to shutdown and go into coprocessor use. All of which makes sense when its off your wrist.
So depending on your settings, and if your watch is on your wrist and does this, you may have a sensor issue, and or are wearing your watch so loosely the contact sensor is determing your watch is off (and or its sensor isnāt working properly).

@nigel-taylor-0 i saw after some days that if I enable the airplane mode and just put the watch on desk, it switch off the displayā¦honestly i donāt know how long it takes and which sensors it check but itās ok
So Iāll try check for point n. 1 as you said (hr sensor) then just remain bluetooth sensors integration and battery improvements.
