@andrea-antonio-guadalupi might be because normally this setting is only supposed to be used when battery is really low and its an emergency. Perhaps the indicator isn’t active but more of a reminder?
But then have just checked my watch - battery was around 95% and in energy saving mode the battery icon is all white except for one bar.

This would be an awesome option to have if we didn’t have to restart the watch each time. Its quick to get into, but too slow to get back to normal mode.

This is due to it completely shutting down WearOS in order to save power. All WearOS devices (to my knowledge) operate in this same way. It needs to boot up WearOS again to get back to full functionality.

I don’t mind this as much as I mind how long it takes WearOS to boot up. My Phone can be up and running in a fraction of the time.

@olymay Oppo has similar functionality but is a lot, and I mean a lot quicker to switch, as I don’t think it shuts down wear os, I think it suspends it and switches to Color OS; as if you start the color app on your phone and link to watch you can still get notifications to your watch. Takes about 15s to switch between each other.

@jamie-bg Interesting option, would be nice to be able to choose between the two.

I imagine (although am only guessing as I haven’t used an Oppo watch) that this method uses more power than the one used by the S7, but should still use significantly less then full blown WearOS.
