It would be great if you could define an interval training with multiple sets in one workout in a Suunto 5.
Currently, you can only define one set by time/distance and enter the number of reps.
A possibility to add more variation would be nice.
    Example:

    • 10 reps of 30" fast and 30" recovery
    • 10 reps of 40" fast and 20" recovery
    • 10 reps of 50" fast and 10" recovery

@sophievh It sure would be great. A lot of people agree.

Try to search on this forum for “Structured workout” or “Structured intervals”.

Wait just a minute, isn’t this possible? This is not a complex interval as it is put, just a series of intervals. And can’t you just during the activity go to options and change the interval? I think you can.

@isazi Yes, you can change intervals whatever you want during workout. So intervals above can be done without problems.

@isazi In the S9 it is only to give 1 value for interval and 1 value for recovery. The number of intervals can be adjusted to multiple.

So to achieve the example of @sophievh you have to set the number of intervals to 10, interval duration to 30 secs and recovery to 30 sec. Start the activity and do the excercise.
Then adjust the values to 10, 40, 20 and start it again, and so on…

It is not possible to schedule the whole workout once which was possible with structured workouts.

@surfboomerang sure, and it is possible already to do that, and it achieves the result. So @sophievh would this work for you?
