        @egika

Whaoouu … PEAK has a smaller screen with a smaller resolution but still is its readability is better that the BARO ???

Just to be sure I catch correctly … how do you explain this ?

Better contrast, probably πŸ˜‰ but yeah S9P seems to be more readable

Dear Mr, very sorry but your reply does not help me a lot.
If I asked this question … you should have guessed that I was not finding my answer and this despite multiple reading …
like these one supposed to give a comparison but where my question did not found any answer
          https://www.t3.com/features/suunto-9-peak-vs-suunto-9-baro
or that one where they do not say that the PEAK has all what the BARO has but in better … they conclude that it depends about what you search … and they also said that the screen of the PEAK was smaller … hence my question … smaller … but ??? more readable ???

@pierre-yves-colle The baro on the Peak for me is similar to the baro but the sensor holes are located on the side of the watch facing the body. It is nearly impossible to get altitude artifacts from poles, water bottles, etc. I am quite a bit older than you are and I find the Peak screen easier to read than the baro. Part of that is due to the ambient light sensor and automatic backlight, part is due to the improved contrast. I prefer a smaller a lighter watch too, the baro was very large on my wrists. Finally the OHR on the Peak works well for me, the baro OHR I could not use for exercising.

              Vector/T6c/Ambit 3 Peak/S5 Copper/S3/S7 Ti/S9 baro Ti/S9P Ti/S9PP Ti/Vertical Ti/Race Ti/RaceS/Ocean/Wing

                hello Brad
                Super thanks for this answer.
It is very clear and answer all my question …

Now you put me in difficulties … I may wish to buy a 9 PEAK to replace my BARO … my wife will not be happy πŸ™‚

I’m like you, if the screen has an improved contrast, lighter and either to read … hte number of pixel does not matter so much.

Apologize but what means OHR acronym ?

@mister-pyc I’m stuck in the same situation: should I upgrade from β€œ9 Baro Ti” to 9 Peak Ti?
I’ve both at the moment. The new one is elegant, beautiful, small, tiny. Best battery life, best GPS performance but I still prefer the chunky style of the 9 Baro Ti.
What are you going to do? πŸ™‚ I really can’t decide 😞

@becco981 I am really happy with the exchange. I have posted why here: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/6754/new-to-s9peak-from-s9b.

Of course, this I is always a very personal thing. I do not kno if I would have paid the price in advance, having a perfectly working S9B, but now I feel like it is worth it. Form factor is much better for me.

@efejota same here. S9BTi bought in January 2021…is still new and in perfect condition but the new one it’s tempting πŸ™‚
