Dears - i recently got a brand new Suunto 9 Peak (Black). Worked well for a couple of weeks, but since 2 days i am facing following issues -

    • HR data (via the watch) during runs/ jogs is not capturing correct data . I know my HRMAX reached decent 170-180 but the watch has not captured a single reading beyond 135!!!

    • At rest there is no HR data captured at all, in fact the watch is not generating any HR graphs

    • The oximeter is often showing readings as low as 75 percent even after following the standard instructions (i have a finger based medical oximeter and my readings were normal 98-99 percent)

    • The watch is showing a constant available resource percentage since last 24 hours (of 50 percent)

    • Even during and after workout, it shows/ displays as ‘In-active’

I tried restarting the watch couple of times but no visible improvement
I also tried wiping the watch sensors, with a my glasses soft tissue.
I dont swim so there is no question of water contact.

    Please help

@kushti-pramanik if a reboot, or turning the watch off and reboot, does not bring the watch back to normal, I would suggest to contact support. I have never heard of this behavior.

@isazi yes, already contacted the local customer support helpdesk , no one picks the call , the message on the IVR is " at the moment we are testing Suunto Devices, thank you for your patience" 😞

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos yes like a 5-6 times, including factory reset and re-onboarded my personal profile (twice). i am assuming this might be some issue with the OS loading data in the memory/ cache. But that doesnt explain the issues with low HR and absurd oxygen readings, perhaps issue with the sensor or the algorithm. tbh i dont know how the data is retrived, is it from your server via the APP synched with the device or you also have device cache, that gets overwritten with latest info, archiving historical data via the app sync

@kushti-pramanik So the problem is what ?

              • if you reboot the watch at rest the 24/7 chart is wiped out.
              • For the pulse oxymeter make sure its 2 fingers hight and the strap is NOT tight
              • The resources reset to 50% after a reboot
              • On the workout try to again not have the watch too tight. It just needs to snug

@kushti-pramanik Did wearing the watch not too tight improve your HR issue?
I have the same problem with HR. It is way too low. Just went on a hike with high pace and HR should have been around 150 , but the watch displayed values around 90…
