      Ref.

Hi, sorry for polluting that thread (maybe moderators can move posts here).
That said, here’s the size map set e.g. to 42km, the widest allowed

but if I try to enlarge the area e.g. to 51km unfortunately it does not allow me to save it

@g-q I’ve looked some more into this and in response to your comment on the other post, you are right, if I pinch to zoom then I am unable to get it back to the default 51km.

It appears the zoom just uses steps, in the same way a mouse wheel does in Google Maps for example.

And I also have the same as you, in that whilst I can zoom out a (very) long way, I am unable to actually set it as the area to download. I mistakenly assumed that if it would allow me to zoom out that far then it would let me select it, sorry.

I’m not sure what the size is of the map area that I have downloaded as I have only ever used the default (although I think I may now have changed it to something smaller, oops).

One thing to note, the map area is downloaded every time you put the watch on charge and it can connect to wifi. This means if you move to a new area then you will need to charge it before you can use the maps (I had to to do this when I went to Yorkshire last summer and can confirm it took just a few minutes to download the new map area).

Hey, thanks for taking the time to do this. I would love to select that 54k area.
          I’m wondering if it’s a bug or what…

          yep, I’ve noted that.
