Suunto race with Polar H10

My Suunto heart rate belt is not working anymore. I need to buy a new. Polar H10 seems to get Good reviews. Will it pair with the race?

Is it true that i can use Polar H10 when cycling and have it paired with both the race on my wrist AND my Garmin Edge 530 on the bike?
That would be great but the most important thing is that i can pair with the race.

@Stefan-B it works fine with the Race, and you can connect to your Garmin Edge and the Race at the same time.

@Stefan-B Hi. I can confirm for you:

1. Yes. You can pair any bluetooth HRM with Suunto Race, including Polar H10 (which I am using).

2. Yes, you can pair the H10 with several devices at the same time. I use the H10 and pair it to my Hammerhead Karoo 2 via ANT+ (better on battery), and via bluetooth to my Suunto Race for the same ride.

I connect to both just because Hammerhead workouts dont show up as an activity on the Race; they do show up in Suunto App though.

But I prefer the larger screen of the Hammerhead for maps and data for gravel and road riding as its easier to see.

@Stefan-B Before buying a new belt, you could check:

• There are posts here that say one can reset the sensor by inserting the battery upside down (that is, reversed polarity). I’m not sure that is officially documented by Suunto but I would try that in your case.

• If your strap has a black area where the sensor connects, you could get the new redesigned strap that has a grey contact area.
