perhaps Suunto Release there their new Race S Modell? Would be great

New Suunto Race S images circulating in Reddit. Price tag @ 350 € if true is awesome. Pictures from retailers being available the release seems near.

@dulko79 Construction seems more plasticky. At least amoled and maps are confirmed. 1.32" screen is great for this watch size.

I want a new military, hunting watches Traverse Alpha!!!
There is still no successor!!!
I just want to upgrade to more powerful sw, case and battery life! All the features on the old Traverse Alpha are sufficient (ideal).Thank you in advance for granting my request!

@raceaddict size is perfect if confirmed! yet to find out if titanium will be available (although I don’t mind if the case is made of polymer, the lighter the better, Pace 3 docet). Also, I am curious to see if it will be manufactured in Finland, hope so

@Alpha take a look at the upcoming Suunto Race S, meets your request, cheaper, without sacrificing the features of the top of the range (without red IR back light though).

not sure the the automatic shot detection of the traverse alpha will be there in the new Race S

automatic shot detection could be solved with an S+ app and used with any newer suunto watch, but I think I comment what you know already
however I think this is quite a niche of people who need to track their shots. the hunters I know don’t even wear sport watches and they don’t track killing wild animals as a sport -

I would never shoot at any animal!!! I like them better than people.
I am a sport shooter and this feature is beneficial to me. But in general I don’t need twenty or more pointless features on a watch that I will never use. For me, a feature set like the Suunto Core is ideal. For that, I sometimes use GPS and often use shot detection. And I love the great durability of the watch. So for me a steel body, sapphire crystal and at least a month battery life! -

no problem I didn’t talk about shooting animals.In fact, you would like Suunto to create a specific watch for you
No extra features except shot detection and GPS.
Maybe you could follow @freeheeler idea : make a request for a S+ app for shot detection and then choose any Suunto watch which suits you and could use it. -

The new Suunto Race S should be out soon, MediaMarkt has two in stock, in Pink and Grey, and I hope they’ll come in titanium too.

@krakra It’s easy to follow the MediaMarkt CDN and find HD version of the pictures. The construction seems close to Coros Apex or Vertix, metal bezel and back but plastic lugs, so for sure more plasticky build than current s9pp, vertical or race.
And the renders, as the ones for the current race, don’t do justice to metal parts, adding to the feeling.
