Can the Vertical have a configurable backlight please. At the moment it seems the setting is either on or off. It would be very useful to have something like a High, Medium or Low backlight setting.

@freeheeler when selecting backlight during an activity the choice is either on or off. Does the backlight mirror display option, i.e. if the watch display is set to Low the backlight will be set to Low?

@Rokelly if you enable the backlight during activity the backlight is always on. If you wear the watch on your wrist, raise-to-wake consumes FAR less battery than backlight on.

@isazi I’m interested in turning the backlight on when the watch is mounted on the handlebars of my bike and I’m riding at night. I use the watch to navigate and need the watch face to be illuminated.

@Rokelly then yes, the backlight on/off during activity is the way to go. For the intensity, it uses the value that is defined in the general configuration.

@Rokelly It uses very little noticeable (or none I notice) power when riding at night.

it uses about 100% more battery according to the estimation… but features and functionality isn’t for free 😉
on the plus side: depending on your location a night is usually less than 26 hours or additionally in my case: I couldn’t ride 26 hours 😉

@freeheeler thank you for the clarification. I guess the double usage isn’t noticeable as the few hours of night riding hardly moved the battery anyway 🤣

that’s the advantage of this huge battery 😁
