      @Tieutieu Seconded šŸ‘
      The UI optimization is definitely a welcomed upgrade. By miles better than when I got my 9PP 5 months ago! Battery consumption seems aligned with previous FW on my end. I can live with ~10 days with nearly daily workouts. I’m content with that

        The pedometer works terribly. When I lie in bed and move my hands, it counts the steps. Let’s say this was the case before the update.
        And during weight lifting training it cannot measure the heart rate well. I’m disappointed.

          My other problem is that how should I see the emojis, nothing appears. By the way, I have 9PP.

            @Stefan-Kersting said in SOFTWARE UPDATE 2.33.12 - Q1 2024:

            Had a skiing trip today and on the map the track was partially not shown after about three hours of tracking. Looks like that the track is a kind of overwritten. The longer the track is recorded the more of the track in the beginning is shortened and not visible.

            Unfortunately, this serious problem has been present since the beginning and Suunto is unable to fix it. Instead, we got three new useless watch faces…

            I have been using Garmin, Polar, Coros and Suunto watches for 20 years for running and cycling. I currently have Suunto Race.

              @DuÅ”an-Ković I can tell you that most (all?) testers that use the watch on the bike reported that this is not a great idea, and that at least it should be possible to configure this (even if the default is that during activity the screen turns off automatically). I do not know why it was implemented this way, I can only tell you that me (and others) will continue to tell Suunto that this needs improvement.

              How can we make Suunto change this back? If this is not fixed in the upcoming two months, I will stop using this device and demand my money back as this change basically ruined my use case of the watch - and it worked before. So Suunto basically broke functionality for me.
              I won’t accept that.

                                As far as I remember, in those threads it’s said that the issue is known and under investigation.

                                maybe it’s not an easy peasy fix, give them time to analyze it.

                                  although I am not a fan of these metrics, it seems that the latest update has improved them, I noticed it because while driving it was counting steps all the time, now it is much better.

                                  It is no surprise that you had bad readings with the WL, I always use a chest strap because with all the watches I used there were problems.

                                    @Olaf-Gottschalk If there is an option to rollback to previous version, that’ll be nice. Or have the ability in the app to download earlier version and install it on the watch. Sorry about the issue you are having.

                                      I wonder why the official version is different from the one here on the forum? Why isn’t all the information available on the official website?

                                        Dear all.
                                        My only problem with the watch is WHR. I can’t believe the metrics that i have. I’ve tried to use a gel but with no success. Any suggestions?
                                        And a suggestion for me coming from coros. Please add just ā€œrunningā€ option to structured workouts. I mean if a made pyramid workout, and every step i named it ā€œintervalā€. This will be very helpful.

                                        Thanks

                                          Mw S9PP works perfectly! I like the improvement of the latest update.
                                          Just a question…(after some months I am still a new Suunto user): do you always restart your watch after the update? Is it necessary? I have never done it and this is the third software update…for that reason I am asking! My apologies in case of double question.

                                            @Adamhert Can you tell us why don’t you buy a cheap watch instead then? These are mainly outdoor watch. And if your main concern is how many steps you do during a day then why do you need outdoor watch in the first place? Why is it so important to know exactly how many steps did you do? Is there some awesome secret training method based on the exact step count? Can you please share it with us so we can learn something new?
