          Hello E-Bike system developers. I tried to connect my Shimano EPS-8 Ebike with my Suunto 9 and ended up with the issue described earlier. The watch changes between connected and disconnected constantly like an permanent loop. After some second the screen goes back to the level where I choose my APPS. My Suunto is on the latest release V2.26.8. I sended my Diagnose Data using Suuntolink from my computer. Hope you find a solution. Regards Günter

            I already made a post about my issue yesterday. I have the same issue on Suunto 9 that whatch says connects and disconnects for several time before connection closes. I found no way to install newer APP neither from APP Store for ebike APP nor the suunto APP itself or a later version than 2.26.8.

            Any other suggestion how to resolve?

              @Raimo-Järvi Maybe this information will be helpful:

              1. Before last update:
              • there was issue to connect watch to bike, multiple restarts were necessary to do this
              • after connection was stabilized all the data was shown on the screen.
              1. After last update:
              • watch connects to bike instantly
              • after connection no data is shown

              Maybe last update corrected the connection issue and somehow damaged data transfer…?

                  @ttsirkia Thank you for the logs! And apologies for the wrong instructions in our web site. I guess Suunto app user interface has been updated, but not the instructions. Did you have heart rate belt and/or other Bluetooth sensors connected to the watch when the problem occurred?

                  @kuba1234 Thank you, I think both issues are manifestations of the same problem (Shimano Bluetooth device is continuously disconnected and reconnected). Last update moved the problem to a later stage and maybe made things worse.

                    No, no other devices. Just the bluetooth connection to the bike and BT connection between phone and the watch. I didn’t try to switch of the BT of the phone.

                      Ich habe nun meine erste Uhr zurückgeschickt, selbst nach dem letzten Update war keine Verbindung über Bluetooth möglich, bzw hatte sich die Uhr kurzfristig mit dem Fahrrad verbunden und sich dann aber sofort wieder getrennt.

                      Dasselbe Problem nun mit der zweiten Uhr, die Bluetooth-Verbindung bricht sofort wieder ab.
                      Jetzt habe ich ein Lock file von der neuen Uhr an Suunto gesendet, mal sehen ob ich eine Antwort von Suunto bekomme

                        @Raimo-Järvi Seeing how this thread hasn’t been updated recently, I just wondered if there have been any fixes / updates to the shimano watch and bike connection issues as detailed by others. I know there was a bluetooth connection update for verticals and race models not so long ago, just wondered if that made any difference. Many thanks.

                          @Boss-Hogg-450 Fixing the issue with Shimano e-bike and Di2 SuuntoPlus apps requires another Bluetooth update in the watch. Unfortunately it can’t be fixed just by updating the SuuntoPlus apps. Fix hasn’t been published yet, we’ll post an update here when it’s published.

                                sorry, It should of course be Race S, not Race2. I just sent a diagnostic log, but couldn’t specify why I did it. Would that help you? If so, how can I send it to you? By the way, I have swapped my shimano steps e6100 for the shimano steps ew-en100 junction-a kit. But my Garmin devices (Edge bike computer and watch) have no problems with it and Shimano also says that you can swap the e6100 with the en100 junction-a kit. I just want to have a clean handlebar, hence the desire to do it with my new Suunto watch.

                                    It still does not work with software version 2.35.36 (Race S model). I’m a bit disappointed, it shouldn’t be that difficult for something like this to work. I would like to open a support ticket, but I have to work myself at the times when the chat is open.

                                    So we have to keep waiting …

                                      @FrankyWe Fixing it requires a Bluetooth update that will be included in next watch software update. I’m not sure when exactly, but soon.

                                        hello, I use Suunto 9 Baro, but I was very disappointed that after so long Suunto is not able to solve the problem with the Bluetooth connection. I installed the app successfully in the watch. (Shimano EP8 motor and after connecting, the information connected is displayed for a moment, after a second it disappears and it says disconnection … and separate again it happens all the time and the display on the watch literally flashes, connected, disconnection, connected… please competent either download this app or just do something with it, time is marching on and makes me change my watch to another brand.thanks in advance for any reply
