@halajos @isazi just to confirm that I have tried a velcro strap and the OHR has now very consistent results. The difference is so important that I’m really amazed with the results.

A 24 mm silicone strap is another possibility. Works fine and I used the original spring bars to mount it to the Vertical.

@pilleus so the 24mm fits fine and a 26mm velcro one too. I’m probably buying the 24mm silicone strap in the same or similar color (my SV Titanium is the Sand edition)

I have also seen 24mm velcro straps. I have a 22mm velcro strap that does seem to do the job but after your tests I’m thinking that the 24mm one is perhaps the perfect fit.

        Thanks

Would you mind sharing Which Velcro strap ? Suunto’s or generic/oem?

It does not slip and the watch does not bounce. I’m using it with the original metal bars of the silicone straps. I’m also thinking in a wider nylon strap, sand color or similar. But for now, this one is working fine for me

@dreamer_ this one has the same kind of spring bars that Suunto straps have, I can recommend this one:

Ok… i received today the two textile straps … the “green” and the blue …
The blue looks COMPLETELY OFF (i would call it differently )” . At best one could say it is not meant to be used on solar vertical TI version . It is immediately put into its case and ready to be sent back
The green is bearable but definitely not my taste. It’s like the vertical is not designed for it either but one could somehow use it for activities. I wouldn’t dare to wear if for everyday style.

I know this view is subjective but i think that Suunto watches are also very nicely designed and some people like myself do care about how the watch looks

Reverting back to the original sand type strap

@thanasis I have that feeling but it’s more important to have valuable data in the runs than the strap. Best looking velcro straps, are probably Coros ones.

I’m using the 22mm Coros strap with my S9Peak and I’m really happy with it. I think the Vertical uses the same 22mm straps. Would have bought a Suunto strap but they are not available where I live.

Coros Pace 3’s straps seems a bit better for me, without the plastic thing that cover the metal bars.

Amazfit’s nylon straps look pretty nice too but Coros ones are ultralight.
Both brands sell the nylon straps at the same price.

@dreamer_ thanks,I only knew about the model I have. I looked now and there’s a bunch of new straps from Coros. They must have launched them with the Apex3. Now I want this yellow one: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1672/6075/products/COROS22mmNylonBand-Yellow-APEX2Pro_928x928.png?v=1716824942

For me it looks a lot better without the plastic endings. You need to like the colour though 😁

Hi, I have a Suunto Spartan Ultra and I’m curious if I can use a velcro strap, e.g. the one from the Coros Apex 3 with my SSU? It seems to have a proprietary connector and I am not an experienced tinkerer.

Maybe just for thought, what if you tried nylon instead of a textile belt. It fits perfectly, is easy to maintain, and there are no nasty Velcros.
in bad weather, I have the original silicone strap, for longer hikes, nylon (https://www.thewatchsteward.com/22mm-straps.html)

@Mouse-Cruiser I hate velcro on clothes or backpacks but on the watchstrap it does not bother me, also in this case it helps getting the exact fit for the watch so for me it’s worth it.

                                        Hi,

Do these velcro straps also helps to prevent that the sharp corner of the strap holders of the watch sometimes slightly cuts your skin on your wrist knuckle?

@cjanevate . Does the fast lane have a similar texture as the texture of the black one? I had the black (an strap that weights 7g) but have not seen the other ones. I’m thinking in the Emma Bates.

I hope Suunto can make similar ones. I like the Sand strap and I can’t find a similar nylon one 😀 😀
And it’s a good idea. Nylon is light, It makes a good fit of the watch and helps a lot to have better WHR metrics
