@aligigi Have a look at this strap: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0650/2059/2396/files/PACE3NylonBand-Emma.png?v=1715369112

For me it looks a lot better without the plastic endings. You need to like the colour though 😁

Hi, I have a Suunto Spartan Ultra and I’m curious if I can use a velcro strap, e.g. the one from the Coros Apex 3 with my SSU? It seems to have a proprietary connector and I am not an experienced tinkerer.

Maybe just for thought, what if you tried nylon instead of a textile belt. It fits perfectly, is easy to maintain, and there are no nasty Velcros.
in bad weather, I have the original silicone strap, for longer hikes, nylon (https://www.thewatchsteward.com/22mm-straps.html)

@Mouse-Cruiser I hate velcro on clothes or backpacks but on the watchstrap it does not bother me, also in this case it helps getting the exact fit for the watch so for me it’s worth it.

                Hi,

Do these velcro straps also helps to prevent that the sharp corner of the strap holders of the watch sometimes slightly cuts your skin on your wrist knuckle?

@cjanevate . Does the fast lane have a similar texture as the texture of the black one? I had the black (an strap that weights 7g) but have not seen the other ones. I’m thinking in the Emma Bates.

I hope Suunto can make similar ones. I like the Sand strap and I can’t find a similar nylon one 😀 😀
And it’s a good idea. Nylon is light, It makes a good fit of the watch and helps a lot to have better WHR metrics

@dreamer_ more or less. I chose the fast track because there’s no plastic end so it is less likely to come loose.

@cjanevate today I bought a Coros Pace 3 nylon band for 30 bucks on Amazon (original band, from Coros), fits the Vertical perfectly and it’s very comfortable. I don’t get why Suunto does not make them anymore, I owned two for my S9B.

@thanasis sure, it looks good with the Vertical titanium.

@isazi best nylon strap for the best watch of the market 😉 . I have tried several clones but none feels like the Coros one (ultra light with only 7g and very confortable).

Your strap is the model I had in the Pace 3. It does look like it was designed for the Vertical. Nice choice 👍

cool, it’s incredibly good, the most breathable I’ve ever tried.

I bought the Coros Pace 3 Emma Bates strap but I don’t like the texture much. It feels like all those chinese straps but being this one a lot more expensive. I think the stock black one is much better.

I’m returning this strap. The quality is ok but there are many similar straps and a lot cheaper. They did not the same job as with the black one, which feels totally different
