@raceaddict well it is completely different from what the support told me. Which proves my point, why can’t we see exact requirements from Suunto online manual? I can’t bother looking for instructions from some random Facebook pages.

        Compasses: M-311, A-10, SK-7
        Diving: Finnlight Navy 90, Vyper
Sports: Metron, S7, S9B and Vertical

@BrunoH It is not exactly a random facebook post as Joaquin Perez is a sponsored Suunto athlete very active as Suunto ambassador https://www.youtube.com/c/JoaquinPérezSuuntoExpert/videos
I expect him to have first class information

@raceaddict respect to Joaquin, but Suunto should definitely improve their docs. An ambassadeur’s tips and tricks on social media can’t replace official documentation.

Considering the number of people in this forum who have found OHR unreliable, I really find Joaquin’s instructions pretty puzzling. The forum’s field testers keep telling everybody to use HR strap instead, because OHR reliability differs between individuals.

And to make my own situation even worse I just broke a toe 🫣

@BrunoH The use of the OHR is to unlock the estimates after 3 runs. After you are free to use external belt sensor.

That is very unusually. Why trust the “not good” OHR Sensor for estimates? When the belt got very good measurement? And after 3 runs we have to use the belt? Sorry that doesnt make sense. Otherwise if i got estimates after 3 runs with Belt that make much more sense. After that i could use only OHR measurement.

@GiPFELKiND we are talking about a different issue, the fact that Race has a bug so VO2max and race time predictions are only unlocked if you use OHR (you can use the belt or other sensors after the first time you see the estimates) will be fixed with next software update.

Vertical uses a different algorithm, and it works also with external monitors.

I have the same problem with VO2max value on my SV. My watch doesn’t show anything about VO2max also after 3 runs but neither 1 run…the last was yesterday (attached).
I use a HR belt and the sport activity is run customized not default.

                        Hi.
VO2max on my SV stay constant from 14.11.2023. it doesn’t matter what sport I do, it doesn’t matter if I use a heart sensor belt or OHR, the result is always the same. The sports I do are trail running, hiking, MTB, mountaineering. VO2max is fixed. SV watch is regularly upgraded. Any idea for solution?
