Could anyone recommend a good glass protection for this watch? I would be grateful for help.
-
@Ars-Vitae I’m using a glass protector for Fenix 7, it fits well.
-
I’m using this one. Fits perfekt, invisible:

@Reiner No problem with touch response?

No, response is normal.

Can Suunto Race S use barometric sensor to display air / water temperature, like Garmin watches?
-
@Dino-Novak sure, but as with (almost) any sensor so close to your skin, data is not that reliable.

Got this Race s in July, it is clearly my best watch ever: compact, fast, beautifull, longlasting, precise and user friendly. Love the map when exploring randomly arround…
BUT… I scratched quite badly the screen of my race S on a rock while hiking in the alpine. It was really not a strong bump but I was enough for deep scratching the screen on 2 spots.
I did really regret that had no screen cover anymore because the one I bought was looking really bad during this summer it mad thh screen blurry
=> NEVER use this watch without screen protection in the alpine !
=> who has got a screen protector that looks good ?Asked the Assistance about screen repair. They told me it is possible to replace.
What about the cost and delay ? does anyone have an experience here ?
(They didn’t answer me on the chat so I’am asking her to get to know more…)
Is tehr any chance to have it covered due to waranty ? -

good luck, but if you don’t try you will never know you will need to open a real case, and discuss with real agents, and convince them that this scratch is due to Suunto’s fault
or wait and pray to have a serious bug/problem that will require an exchange.

I must admit that my new Race S has been very impressive so far (after 3 weeks). It’s working as expected, no crashes etc. Love it.
However I have to say, the OHR is just as ridiculously bad as my beloved S9B. It’s just awful. So I still need my Verity Sense or H10 strap for accuracy. I didn’t wear a strap this morning and the RS was reading up to 40 beats above my Apple Watch (which isn’t perfect either). Very disappointed in this aspect.
But overall it’s a very good partner for my Baro which I use for my mountain adventures.
-
@Jeffrey-Tillack I would use the Suunto belt or another RR belt and take advantage of ZoneSense, a game changer for training.
-
@Brad_Olwin yes, the OHR is a non-issue for me as I’ve always worn a heart rate strap. I think people get a little too “over the top” about optical sensors (imho). It’s fine for hiking and general day to day life. Maybe it’s my bony wrists it doesn’t like .
-
@Jeffrey-Tillack OHR is not good for me either, I do not like wearing my watch on my forearm. The Race S can give me decent values while running but not consistently.

Hi all, I bought Suunto Race S today. To my disappointment, I found that the vibration of the watch is significantly louder vs. Race or Vertical. For me, it’s too noisy. Can anyone tell me if this is normal or not? Otherwise, really happy with the watch.
-
@laismaniko I’ve never had a Race or a Vertical but I can say the Race S is less loud when vibrating than my 5 Peak was. Noting that the Race S is smaller and lighter than the Race or Vertical if Suunto used the same unit in all three it would make sense it would be more apparent in the S because there’s less mass/bulk to vibrate.

Does anyone know if Race S UMTB World Series will be restocked on Suunto website any time soon?
-
@dulko79 No idea but I saw it available at
https://www.sport-conrad.com/en/products/suunto/race-s-sc-2.html -
Is it possible to create strength training functionality in suunto app and into watches? muscle maps, exercises?
-
perhaps in the future it will be possible to build a route to the points (POI) ?
