Has any one of the testers compared the screens of Race and Race S regarding visibility and reflections? The gorilla glass should be better, as far as I know.
Has any one of the testers tried a white Race S with red/blue/yellow straps? I am curios how this would look like.
I think the Race S will be a success for Suunto, really good Job! Although there is one fail: Still no alerts for structured workouts is a big disappointment (although not related to the new watch). Ok another one: Sensor management.
I do not perceive a difference between the two. I can put up some side by side photos if you like.

Great watch again Suunto, congratulation
But the price for Hungary is insane
1 395 000 HUF which is almost 3500 EUR
Maybe one null at the end is really not needed -
@Brad_Olwin Thanks, I believe you, no images needed
-
On the SV will the update include :
The new Watch face?
Live heart rate display?
Alarms during interval training?
Napping detection? -

What do you mean? I do not think there is a HR complication available yet for any watch
Alarms during interval training?
No change
Napping detection?
No

in the widget - yes. this has been there already
Alarms during interval training?
don’t think so
Napping detection?
no. this is a tech licensing issue, not a programming one.

Does the new OHR sensor has support for temperature sensing? Like newer Apple Watches, Garmin’s, Oura,… to possibly detect illness?
-
@wmichi not that I am aware of, it is just a different sensor
-
@isazi
Thanks for your response
It’s a real shame not to have live heart rate (as a complication) on a Watch face. Asked for a long time
The same goes for nap detection. Why not put the license on the SV?
For alarms during interval training, it’s really important to have it.
That said, this update seems really interesting and a step in the right direction. Can’t wait to update my watch. -

@freeheeler Your prayers have been heard!let’s call it “prayers” … I’ve bribed them *irony off
-
@freeheeler What? So the bribery happened and I didn’t get my part of it? It’s a shame
-
-
@Frederick-Rochette Like @isazi has previously said, the update to come brings lots of improvements, but not everything that everyone wishes. Still according to him, there is more to come with next updates.
Like you I’d be very happy to see those 2 simple improvements with native interval training : rep/step counter, and bip (5sec ?) before start of next rep/step. Let’s hope it will come with another update.
But on the other way I’m much more happy with climbing guidance that is arriving.

Excellent watch
Beats the hell out of FR165/255 and many other watches.
It’ll be selling a lot. -

…and you know why!!

@Egika no, you confused the cause and the consequence!
-
@isazi GREAT NEWS

quick one: did the lugs of the race S have rounded angles (like the Ocean) I found the one of the Race a bit sharp and as Ocean change this a bit I wonder to know if RaceS also benefit of this ?
-
@Josaiplu for me Ocean ans Race are the same But Race S is smaller and lighter, so it may feel more comfortable.
