@pavel-samokha I’m stealing this immediately LOLOL

Always carry a flaggon of whiskey for snakebite; and furthermore, always carry a small snake.

User of pretty much every watch since the Ambit 3 Peak. Now back in the family w SV :)

@maszop I find the waypoint management very good, and the distance on the map is to the next waypoint and shows what that waypoint is. Not necessarily to the end.

My Vertical guided me 2500km across ten countries this year, I thought the maps and waypoints were excellent 👌🏻

@Audaxjoe Well, for me it is very unfortunate that SV still doesn’t allow you to see the name of the next waypoint whenever you want. It only appears in two pop-ups—after reaching the previous waypoint and 100 meters before the actual one. My old S9 displayed the waypoint name at the top of the navigation options menu at all times (together with ETE etc), which I found really useful.

              SV: fingers crossed :D
S9 (non-baro): died after 2 months, replaced, holding strong since 03/20
Spartan Trainer: casing broke after 23 months, repaired, lost watertightness 5 months later, died
Despite some pretty bad luck, I still love Suunto!

@inkognito yes I have to agree that names of waypoints would help.

I love the fact the map now shows an icon of what the next waypoint is. So I know if it is a cafe, control etc. But the name would be good.

I’m a little bummed we haven’t seen any meaningful map updates in a long while. It’s been well over a year for my region. Looks like the UTMB area and a few European countries were the only ones who got any love last year. I was really hoping for something like biannual updates.

I know it’s been asked many times, but is there any news it regards to this? Maybe bigger changes are in the works?

Me too. When will we get the contour lines at more than 200m in the Balkans?

                        Hello @pavel.samokha,
I’ve noticed you’ve unpinned this thread after the recent posts.
Do you think you could provide some information on the matter of the map updates that were planned for last year?

                        Thank you
