    Today I did a running workout with my suunto race and additionally Polar Flow. At the distance of 5k the difference was 550m. Suunto race showed 5k and PolarFlow app 4k.450m
    Or maybe it happened to you too, such a mistake. Jal it can be fixed.

      @Tasman guess it depends on who you trust for accuracy. I believe the Suunto has better GPS in most reviews?

        @larrybbaker During the week I’m going to do a workout for two watches my suunto and Garmin 255, we’ll see what the difference will be. Is there a way to calibrate the GPS in case there will be a big difference. I also need to set Distance 10k and then I will check if there is a big difference.

            @Tasman By the very nature of the way GPS works it can’t really be calibrated. As long as you’ve sync’d your watch in the last couple of days (to pick up the latest agps data file) and you’ve waited for the watch to acquire a lock there’s nothing else you should need to do.

              @far-blue Could you say something more about AGPS data? 'Cause I don’t really know what’s going on

                When you sync the watch to the app, it will say something like „Updating GPS“. That is AGPS: the watch receives satellite constellation data that make finding the position of the watch quicker. If you don’t sync regularly, the data gets out of date and you will notice that when you start a training.

                  @Tasman what @Mauerwegler said 🙂

                  The AGPS file is generally good for 2 or 3 days from what I understand from other forum comments and I think it also syncs in the background if you’ve recently had the suunto app open (certainly on apple devices). The AGPS file has, I believe, pre-computed trajectories for all the satellites which allows the watch to skip the first steps of position calculations and the need to wait for the less-frequent “full state” data from the satellites - hence a faster stable position.
