I don´t remember the maximum amount you can fix in Ambit ( I think it was 8 ) So my question! What difference is concentrating all fields in 4 screens or distributing the same content in 8 for better visibility? Technically possible? The amount of data is the same.

Frankly, I do not see why you need so many screens! I usually delete one of them and have no more than 4 fields and often only three. How many independent parameters do you need to simultaneously measure while you are exercising??? I can barely keep track of my pace, HR and route.

@Brad_Olwin Me neither. I have 4 fields in each screen and take advantage of most important data for me. More than 4 imposible to see for me. I think they are users who are more comfortable with 3 big fields per screen. However, have the same rights to see all data. It’s an idea☺

@Brad_Olwin If simply running, I also do not really step very often through the screens, so I can understand Your position. But if You go out for a hike or something really slower, I’d like to put in every possible info, even on 8 screens.

It would be also nice to have more that 1 graphics (Altitude + HR), which leads also to the need of more screens.

Personally I find it hard to read screens that have more that 4 data fields, because it get too small. When I am running, it is almost impossible to read.
But maybe my eyes are too old. 😉

BTW: I like the old feature of auto switching screen at a certain interval.

My eyes are starting to be old. I suppose there are many users who prefer more screens and others not. Give opportunity to everyone, I think it’s the golden rule. Within the possibilities of HW.

My reason to ask for more than 4 screen is that I’m using the same running mode everytime, but depending on the type of workout I’m doing I set one screen or another, which means that on my ambit 3 I had 3 “main screens” with often the same data with minor changes and 3 alternate screens.

When I’m doing “hill running” it’s closer to flat running than real trail running or scrambling 😉

                  Hi,
You can create as many custom sportsmode with 4 screens, for one type of sport. And during your activity, if your désires screen is not présent, you can change sport mode on the fly using upper right long press.

I just forgot to mention I was answering to @miniping , for his personnal need : he needs multiples screens for multiple type of workouts --> isn’t it the real purpose of a custom sportmode ? 😉
Why create a unique sportmode with all fields when multiple sportsmode with 4 screens can do the job ?

Btw, i would also like to have, 1 or 2 additionnal screens, mainly for having two graphs on them, now we had graphs 🙂

@Mff73 For me (using a Spartan Trainer) it’s totally a joke, and your last idea (please, consider this as just an opinion) is more than a joke. Really, every user is different. For me, the simple idea of trying to see a graph while running is a joke. I would love to have more than 4 screens to could put THREE fields per screen and could change from one screen to another and see different data, but just in the same workout, as on different moments I’m interested on different things and then I want to check in a blink the main data for THAT moment (duration+distance+pace; HR+pace+distance; average pace+pace+distance…). And it would be great having the option to could add to this custom mode 2 screens really useful: interval screen and HR zones screen.

OK, I see reasons for having more screens than available so I stand corrected but @Mff73 may have solved the issue in an ingenious way…I will have to test this out as I would like multiple graphs sometimes as well. One change I would like to see is the ability to scale the graph as we can scale the route on the Navigation page. Kudos to all of you for the great responses!
