@Sportsfreund testing. Backporting to older devices. Some more testing. And most importantly: there is no new device and firmware officially. So why would they release it prematurely? And perhaps different teams work on different branches of firmware.

You can see some exciting details with new watchfaces and new apps like ‘Breathe’, ‘Evaluation Lab’, and ‘Alipay’. It’s exciting to see what will happen and, not least, when.(mod edit, no link please)

@orzechszek it’s being tested. Should be released sooner than later.
correct.
And if all goes well, the current test build 2.39.xx does the job fixing OHR and sleep tracking issues and will be released within the next days. -

Please can you confirm that any new update won’t be forced on me, even though I have automatic updates OFF?
My 9PP is stable now, and I have no appetitie for the awful new carousel menus…

@Sportsfreund It looks good indeed, but it makes it less readable for people with less-good eyesight, as the size of the text is much smaller when its not in the middle.
A good middle ground would be like Garmin (saw that on my GF Venu 3S), there is a “carousel style” animation, but the font size seems to vary a lot less.

@tmclr no. I can’t. I don’t program these functions. But if the watch is updated despite the switch being off, this should be regarded as a bug.

@Egika Same in „offline“ Mode. You can set the offline mode but the app connection still works.

It works now, but it wasn’t always like this.

@tmclr give it some time, you’ll get used to it.
I think that it’s unnecessary, but while Suunto is moving towards the crown, it makes sense from the aesthetics point of view. An added benefit is that top and bottom items are now smaller, so more data can fit into the circular view (although it’ll be smaller and harder to read for some people).
I think that having the older firmware might interfere with some functionalities, like S+ apps, so it would be wise to be up to date.
