I am a new S9PP user. Every now and then, a message pops up on my watch. I have only about 5 seconds to read it and it goes away. More often than not, I didn’t get to finish reading it before the watch went to standby mode and I couldn’t find a way to retrieve it again, leaving me wondering what the message was. Is there a trick or setting to keep the message visibile until I acknowledge it?

@Wiinja I’m not aware of a way to make messages stay in the screen until you acknowledge them. However, you should be able to see your notifications by pressing the lower button on the watch and scrolling to “notifications”. These are generally notifications that have come from your phone, like text messages.

There may be some messages from your phone that don’t stay, but I think this might be more related to phone notification settings (not 100% sure on that). For example, when my car is parked it sends some message to my phone, then the watch, and I think those messages do disappear. I’ll pay more attention.

@Greennorth Thanks for the quick response. I don’t have problem with phone notifications, which I can find them as you mentioned. The pop-up messages were the ones I often missed.

@Francesco-Pagano Hmm. What has stand up reminder to do with reading the disappearing messages?

@Francesco-Pagano Okay. I think I get what you meant now. I don’t believe the messages were stand up reminders, as I have not turned that feature on. Also, if they were stand up reminders, I should see a lot more often because I do sit down for a long time a lot.

Sorry, but it doesn’t seem clear to me 🤔 : you are missing some pop-up messages, which, in five seconds, you can’t read entirely, right? And these are not phone notifications. And you can’t give us any hints of what you can read in 5 seconds and you would like help to know what it is, right?

@Mff73 That is correct. While I said the message disappeared in about 5 seconds, I actually did not have the full 5 seconds to read it. For the few messages so far, by the time I raised my wrist, I only got a glimse of the dimming message without my reading glasses on. That I can’t read clearly without reading glasses makes the matter worse. That is why I would like the message to stay until I acknowlege it, so I have time to put on my glasses. I make a note to myself to act quickly the next time a message pops up. So hopefully I shall catch it the next time. 😉
