Calorie consumption Race S

Hi together,

i came here from reddit to maybe get an answer from an expert.

I‘ve just completed a trailrun and have tracked the run with my race s and simultaneously with the suunto mobile app and my Polar H10 chest strap.

The average heart rate with the race s was 144 bpm and calorie consumption 1118 cal.

The average heart rate with the chest strap was 142 bpm and calorie consumption 1620 cal.

Does anybody can explain why there is such a big difference in calorie consumption between tracking with the race s and tracking with suunto mobile app and chest strap, even if the average heart rate is nearly the same?

@Simon-0 If you are using the App, where does it get your weight from?

@Audaxjoe as far is i can see, the stats like weight, age, gender, max. hr are saved in the app even when there is no watch connected.

Suuntoapp is registering activities without knowing your HR zones (it is using default ones).
Maybe an hint to explain metrics differences like calories?
