How to track sleep?
-
Hi,
I’m currently testing a Race S and like the design and for the most part the software on it. What puzzles me is how you actually track sleep.
The manual states that you have to turn it on and that’s it. Ok I did enable sleep tracking.Coming from Garmin I know there you can enable a special sleep mode where the screen might be different and you prevent accidental screen interaction.
How is it done with the Race S? I just left my watch as it has been the whole day and went to bed. But it didn’t track anything. Early in the morning I felt a vibration but I didn’t look at the screen at that time. I took the watch off for the rest of the night as I didn’t want to be waken up again…
Any hints?
Bye, Frank

@2b2bff You need to enable H24 HR tracking, otherwise even if you enable sleep tracking it won’t record.
-
@Tieutieu yep, I did so…
How do you prevent accidental Watch interaction at the night? Can you turn off Touch Screen or lift to wake somehow?

@2b2bff The manual has the information

@Brad_Olwin no offence, but I did enable it and it didn’t track anything. That’s why I asked if there is something magical do be done.
As I said my Garmin experience is that the Watch switches modes at sleep time. But there is no sleep time to be set on the Race S. Only if you want to enable DND, what I do not want, as I want to be callable…

@2b2bff there is no special night watchface. Only way (not usung DND) to turn screen black would be to turn off AOD and disable raise to wake then which would activate the screen with any button press
-
@2b2bff I personally use DND mode, it works fine and alarms still work (but I don’t use notifications). If I want to be callable that means that whatever the situation my phone needs to be turned on.
My choice from the beginning I’ve owned a « notification compatible » watch was not to use them. -
@ChrisA If you could set this with a schedule it would be a way forward. But changing this setting twice a day is a bit cumbersome…
-
@Tieutieu I use DND too, which works great. Rare occasions when my phone is online during the night.
-
@ChrisA DND is set on my phone, so only certain VIP calls come through. And to make it happen, the watch has to remain without DND mode, as my phone sleeps in a different room so to say…
-
@2b2bff it’s the only way without using DND (as you wrote you won’t use DND)
. I understand your setting with phone in other room.
