I have some incoherent HR measures for my last runs with my Race S.
The first minutes the level is very high and dro suddenly to go back to normal.
It’s on the same tour and at same pace I used to do.
I used a Suunto belt but I also tried with the wrist HR.
I also noticed it was incoherent during the day, I read more than 100 on the watch and count less than 60 with a chronometer at one moment.
It seems to match with the update 2.39.44
Does somebody have the same problem?
I join some some HR view of my runs.
The two first ones are OK.

@FDC_75 I sometimes have the same pattern on my Vertical, even before the update so for me is not related with the update. I noticed it’s much more frequent since is colder outside.

@FDC_75 I used to have same behavior before. It was caused by bad S smart sensor (probably belt). Look in runalyze on this excercises to see the quality of the data transfered from the hr monitor to the watch. I actually use H10 from Polar and it works absolutely perfect. You can rely on it and just forget the connection and consnistency issues.

On the other hand you wrote you have this issue also with OHR. Here I dont know fo me this worked only with second OHR sensor I have on my 9PP - not perfect, but far from random readings I have now with thirth sensor.
For me is this useless, I use it only for 24/7 tracking and don’t care what it shows. Here we have big space for improving - compared to other brands.

SUUNTO M2 - retired, SUUNTO M5 with bike pod - retired, SUUNTO Ambit3 Peak Sapphire customized, SUUNTO Spartan Trainer - retired, SUUNTO 5 Peak, SUUNTO 9 Peak Pro Titanium, SUUNTO Race S

Are all the example runs using the HR belt? I find my HR belts are all more likely to cadence-lock (measure the interference caused by rhythmic movement rather than HR) at the start of my runs in colder and windy weather. I suggest being extra sure to wet the belt contacts or use contact gel to give you the best chance of a good reading until you start sweating enough.

            @far-blue
The last exemple is without belt and the first minutes are incoherent.
When I use the belt I wet it, I’ll try better next time.
The exemple 2 and 3 are on the same course at the same pace and the same temperature with belt.

My vertical today during an exercise lost the oHR. It just stopped showing nothing . The mode was on performance and the wrist hr on …

I had the same issue on my Race S… HR stop working few second after starting the activity (while green sensor was still active)

Strange thing, I noticed that before the run the 24 HR had detection failure on the 12h monitoring and the HR was taking more time to display in the watch menu. I had to soft reset my watch to get back to normal behaviour.

1st time I saw this issue, was ok before the update.
