Hi, i have exactly the same problem. It does not show up in the suunto app itself.also training peaks seems to be fine. but on strava i always get several hundred hours of workout whenever i upload a session.

@tuxella
Same here, insanely absurd times. And it only appears in Strava after autosync, seems normal in Suunto app. Strava displays my ca. 1hr swim as 2400hr duration. 🫣Anyone has an idea whether this is a Suunto or Strava issue?

@jrun1200
Strangely, already in the Suunto app in my activity details there seems to be always one or more random 25m lengths completely off, always at 596hrs for one 25m distance. I guess that is also the case with you, @tuxella, right?Btw, I don’t have a Vertical but a Race S. Seems to be a clear Suunto Firmware software issue then. And not a Strava issue… Suunto Team, please fix this!

@jrun1200
I seem to have the exact same issue , Race S and same mad time 596.32 , Strava also all over the shop -

@tuxella I have the same issue!!
Did the Suunto service reply or provide a solution?

@Georgia-Kakoulaki I have the same issue but it was not present a month ago.

Hi - I am a Race S user and sadly have to join this thread. Had no issues with swimming data since I bought the watch in August ‘24. But now my last two swims have some crazy data errors (569 hrs for a
25m breaststroke lap). Anyone knows if this is fixed by the latest update? -
Suunto race S user here and have the same issue. Hopefully they fix it in future releases.

Suunto provides only three types of heart rate zones for activities:
- cycling, 2. running, 3. universal.
Unfortunately, to swim and do other sports (apart from cycling and running) you have to constantly change heart rate zones for the results to be reliable.
You have to correct the heart rate zones.I have been asking Suunto for heart rate zones for swimming for a long time and unfortunately (…).

I agree with all the problems you mentioned!
I will add that the recognition of swimming styles is also completely broken.
The styles are no longer recognized intuitively.I hope Suunto is aware that the attempt to improve the swimming algorithm has completely broken everything.
As for the marked times (in red), I don’t understand that either, but my opinion is to have the data are given in seconds, just divide by 60 to get the correct value.Unofficially, I know that work is being done on fixing the pool length calculation, and the rest?
Unfortunately, nothing else will be fixed in the near future.I have been asking Suunto for a long time:
- An algorithm for learning swimming styles, just like it was in Suunto Ambit3 PEAK, I think everyone would be delighted with it,
- Heart rate zones for swimming, so that you don’t constantly change between other activities,
- An algorithm for counting the length of swimming only on your feet (without arms).
Is it really that hard?
These options were available on OLD versions of Suunto watches, so I think current watches can have them without any problems.
