Software Update 2.40.38 (2025 Q1)

@2b2bff I wanted to comment on this too, but you were faster
I think it was added as a provocation after someoneâs comment on this forum a long time ago
-
@Francesco-Pagano I wonder what the Suunto Coach makes out of it. âYou cleaned your house less than usualâŚâ
-
@Bogdan1921 Same here, quite a big lag actually, comparing to previous version. But only when scrolling down.
-
@2b2bff lol itâs true!
Thereâs also e-bike and MTB e-bike, nice. And a wheelchairing as a sports mode⌠I guess.
-
Installed on both my SV and SRs, no particular lag
-
Installed on my Race, I donât see any lags while scrolling the watchfaces. Tomorrow Iâll test the turn-by-turn navigation
-
I have made a 5km mountain biking with autopause on. Several times when Iâve start to move the screen was in autopause menu so the activity didnât start. I have made a calibration before to start the activity.
-
@2b2bff oh yes, Chores
Iâm curious if track running actually does anything different now to be honest - I can spot a fair few newbies.
Menus seems pretty good on 9pp as compared to before.

Support for new watch face types
Are the new watch face types something to come in the future?
On the topic: After installing it on my 9PP, Iâve noticed improved speed and smoother menus. I havenât tested any activities yet, but so far, everything seems to be working without issues.
-
@pavel-samokha Nice to see that Suunto is giving users an opportunity to help a little bit in the development. Is there also a proper way to communicatie the feedback so Suunto can keep track of the actual bug etc?
Since most of these threads tends to become a huge unstructured set of posts
-
@surfboomerang just post here and focus on found new bugs

Hello,
Q1 update release is around the corner.
For those who brave to beta test it now weâre appreciate you install it and provide feedback
Thanks for making this possible!
Installation worked without issues.
Observations:
- Second hand of Simplicity Analog watchface does not have accent color but is white and canât be changed
- Sleep tracking worked like a charm the first night but failed the second night

Update installed
Tomorrow tests in the swimming poolBy the way, a question after introducing new disciplines?
I donât know if the update has an impact on this, but in the interval options there is an option to do intervals in âhomeworkâ?
Seriously? I am amazed (âŚ) -
Hello I have a problem on iOS installation does not work
-
@ggrego any errors? what steps are you following? I installed from iOS to Vertical with no issues.
-
@ggrego I do not see any issue to install from my iPhone 13 mini to S9PP
-
@larrybbaker I clicked on the open link with suunto and nothing happens I went to watch update and nothing
-
Just did a quick âRunningâ activity and turn-by-turn navigation is⌠better, not great.
Hereâs what I observed:
- There is now only one prompt that appears at ~20m before the turn.
- When not on the map page, the data âtoothâ turns blue and populates with the turn direction arrow and the distance to the turn (counting down from ~20m).
- Same happens on the map page with the tooth showing turn direction and distance.
- After passing the turn, the tooth returns to previous data.
- There are no more full screen notifications (canât remember if these were present on the previous software of not).
This behavior is exactly what most of us were asking for. HOWEVER, I think we still need an initial prompt at ~100m from the turn. Hopefully this omission is just a bug?
As it works now, 20m before a turn gives me about 5 seconds notice while running. This really isnât enough time. And it would be unusable if the behavior is the same while cycling. Having a first prompt at 100m gives the user time to anticipate an upcoming turn.
So, an improvement for sure, but we need the 100m prompt back.

Just had a sync with the Suunto App (iPhone) and it kept on syncing Suunto Plus for ages (>5 Minutes). Eventually I rotated the crown and the screen in the App changed to âWatch is busyâ and as I moved back to the watch face, the sync went through in seconds.
BTW: The German translation in the App for Last sync - âjust nowâ is wrong. It is âjetzt sofortâ what is more an answer to âWhen should I do it?â. It rather should be âgerade ebenâ.
-
@ggrego try force closing the app and reopen it from the link. Possibly your have click that link once more after the app is already open. The app should go to the upgrade screen and find a new update. You wonât be able to manually checkâŚ
I had a little dance with it as wellâŚ
