Saw people post these photos in social media. Going to release soon?
Could You share on private? I saw somewhere back of this watch only
-
@babychai Not officially released by Suunto. Not sure those should have been posted.

I’m not sure either. Earlier you wrote, “Rules are no photos or links for rumors.”
If something has evidence by a FCC site or a picture on an Instagram post, then that’s not “a rumor” but instead it’s probable factual information simply not released by Suunto. I suspect the rule actually is (or is intended to be) “no posting of info not released by Suunto” which is subtly different.
I don’t really care specifically what the intention of the rule is — whatever it is, it’s the forum rule, and I’m happy to abide by it. However, as someone fairly new to the forum, and not immediately seeing a specific posting of the precise rule, it’s be nice to have it clarified. Until it is, I’ll assume it’s the more strict interpretation — don’t post on a Suunto device you can’t reference at this moment on the main Suunto site, regardless of evidence on other places.

Basically this, you can talk about rumors, you can speculate, you can say there are some rumors around, but do not post links and pictures here, because this forum is hosted on the suunto.com domain and information found here could be interpreted as “official” [1] and damage Suunto itself.

Looking forward to the straps, hope they fit also bigger watches like Vertical. Not a fan of their prioritisation where they introduce their products first, tbh (China, Russia and so on). Although I understand it’s a Chinese business now.
-
@timecode I think all latest Suunto watches have 22mm straps
-
Some rumours are circulating across web. New features on the way including personalised training plans in new OS. If all true it is gonna be a huge step forward. Cant wait to try the plan implementation.
-
The current software is very poor (number of bugs and limitations, hardcoded options etc.), supposedly it was new from the 9PP series, but the effects were still poor.
Maybe this time Suunto will offer something more because the competition is running away.

I found some news in a Facebook group, and an article in an australian homepage channelnews and a german homepage notebookcheck… you can see a yellow plastic watch with a new ui… seems to be cheaper than the other watches like SV and SR… perhaps a new S5… but nothing about a release date…
-
@SuperFlo75 Yup, seems like very simple watch, mostly for running (I heard 34 sports?). Amoled, crown, 20 dual band GPS, 12 days in smartwatch mode. Probably cheap. + Some textile straps with Suunto logo. Seems like good option as a Start smartwatch for runners.
-
Hm, Maps or no Maps, thats the question…
-
@VoiGAS I would expect without maps…
-
@2b2bff Nylon strap is a must have. I don’t know what took Suunto so long! I bought a titanium Suunto Race recently (couldn’t resist sale price combined with vertical week coupon), and the first thing I did I replaced the stock silicone strap with an Abanen brand hook and loop nylon strap that is very similar to Garmin Ultrafit. The watch is noticeably more lightweight and comfortable now!
-
@SuperFlo75 Saw it too but the strap look very thin. Seem doesn’t match to bigger size watch such as SV and SR. Just my opinion.
-
@SuperFlo75 I hope there will be maps. This watch will have a new OS, I hope Race and Vertical will get it too and there is no HW limitation. Because so far Suunto SW is a bit inconsistent across watches. Race has nap detention, Vertical doesn’t, etc. I was considering this new watch as a competitor to Coros Pace Pro, so let’s see. If anything, then Coros is at least consistent across all devices.

@Sportsfreund if it’s fake please remove it.
-
I too hope that SR and SV will get the new OS as well.
I have the SR titanium and it works well but what I would really look for with the new rumoured OS is the offline music function.
That would be an awesome addition to the current features. -
What I am waiting for the most with new UI or new features that could be brought into SV, SR/SRs, S9pp, is structured workouts improvement. I’m confident according all rumors that it shall arrive
