using GPX file during an activity and ending the activity
-
I’ve just got my new Race, which I love. I’m running a mixed terrain half marathon at the end of May. I’ve downloaded the GPX file from the run website and transferred to the watch, and assumed I would select run or trail run, choose navigate, then the GPX file, then press start on the activity. What’s worrying me is that I recently read a post where someone was saying you can’t end an activity from the map/route, navigation GPX file screen. Is this true, and if so could someone please tell me how to end the activity once the run is completed? Do I also select snap to route. I’ve never used any sort of map while running before, so this is new for me. The Suunto guidance on the subject is a bit confusing, and the search function on here doesn’t bring up what I need, and not much on Google either
Any help much appreciated,

@FlickM You upload the route to Suunto App, toggle to add to watch, then as you said you select the route to navigate from the activity you have chosen. Then just end as normal.
You may be over thinking this, it is staight forward.

@FlickM you can’t end a route while having map on the screen, that’s correct. Just switch to next data screen and end it. It’s nothing to worry about.
