Wished HR sensor was more accurate...
-
New topic as Steps wildly innacurate was a bit sidetracked with my comment that 24/7 HR isn’t that great with Suunto.
I mentioned that I recorded an walking activity the other day comparing the Epix Pro (that I considered fairly accurate, unless the software doesn’t want it to be) with an external Coros HRM and the Suunto Race S. Neither watch was good, as the comparison with the HRM shows. Both watches have been worn similar, using a textile velcro strap. Epix left, Race S right arm, HRM on the right upper arm.
The Race S take:
As before the 100-something values are too high. 70-something is really good. 80-something I think is completely usable… It is only the first half that I’m complaining about.

The Epix Pro - at least during running - is usually closer, but here it is about 5-10 beats from the HRM. I would be very happy if the Race S was that good during the day. I have to wear a chest strap anyway - with Garmin because I distrust their software in the Epix Pro and with Suunto because I want ZoneSense…
