    ZoneSense, VO2Max and in-race recovery

      Now we have ZoneSense which gives an indication of how much load the body is under during an activity I’m curious if anyone knows if there’s been any research done on recovery during an activity.

      Taking LT2 (in ZoneSense the transition from Anaerobic to VO2Max) as a tipping point beyond which the body’s effort / load / stress is unsustainable for any duration I’m interested in whether research indicates how long the body will take to recover once the load dips back down below LT2.

      I’m asking because during a race such as a HM where the aim is basically to ride the LT2 transition - max sustainable load - it might be beneficial to know you could push above LT2 for 10mins or so for a hill or to push forward before then dropping back below LT2 to recover for a bit before being able to push again later in the race.
