Actual slope gradient detection.
-
Hi.
As I’m new user (MTB activities), maybe missing right option on the watch, but…
It seems to be impossible to check the current real slope gradient during ride, even with the barometric altimeter already present in the watch.
Is that so?
Btw, im talking about spontaneous/exploration activity, not navigation.
If lack of such function is true, it’s that possible to have this in future firmware updates?
Cheers. -
@Lazyjones just use “climb” app, you’ll have the current slope
-
@Lazyjones Some S+ apps have this, not sure which MTB ones but ClimbS+ does this.
-
@Lazyjones not there yet
-
Indeed! You are right, I’ll try Climb app then, thanks.
However, not having this value being possible
to use in customized screen field, seems weird to me, when vertical speed is already there
Once again, thanks for the answer. -
@Lazyjones Oh yeah, that would be great to have this data, I usually miss it.
-
What about NGP? It’s displayed on the S+ Hill Reps app, why can’t I find it when customising a sport mode?
-
@Francesco-Pagano I believe several values are calculated internally in app code. To have this in custom mode it would have to be hard coded in watch’s software. Not impossible to be done in updates though.

It is native on the Suunto Run and I’ve tested it, works well. Would love to have this come to other watches as well.
