Significant lag on map orientation in map
-
Hi all,
Today I observed a rather unusual issue with my Suunto Vertical. After completing more than 15 km of activity in performance mode (with the map open the entire time), I noticed that the map became unresponsive in terms of orientation. Specifically, the red arrow for north was very slow to shift when I moved my hand, almost as if the watch was struggling to keep up.
When I first noticed this, I pressed the down button to activate the compass. It took a few seconds for the compass to appear, but once it did, the compass itself was very responsive and aligned well with my movements. However, when switching back to the map, north alignment was extremely sluggish. It would eventually move, but only slightly, and it stayed “stuck” even if I zoomed in or out—the north direction seemed locked in place.
So, to summarize:
• Map orientation lagged after >15 km of activity in performance mode.
• Compass worked fine, but map orientation did not.
• Zooming in/out did not resolve the issue.I’m not sure if this is a firmware issue or something specific to my unit, but wanted to share in case others have experienced the same.
Has anyone else run into this?
Thanks!
