      Hi everyone,

I recently upgraded from iPhone 12-17 and after 2-5 hours the Bluetooth connection drops between watch and phone / app. The only way to get the connection back is to "remove the connection in the watch, app and in the bluetooth settings on the phone.

Anyone who have experienced this when switching phones and have a solution?

I’m experiencing similar connectivity issues after upgrading to an iPhone 17. Although the Suunto app indicates that my watch is not connected, the Bluetooth settings on my iPhone clearly show that the device is paired.
The only temporary workaround I’ve found so far is performing a soft reset on the watch. However, this solution only lasts for a few minutes to a few hours before the connection becomes unstable again, frequently dropping in and out.

@Mathieu-Gagné main problem for me is, that battery drains pretty fast because of this. Suunto app is the one with the highest battery consumption even if I don‘t use it.

I know from the tester information that the BT connection issue on iPhone17Pro is an Apple issue, which they have said will be addressed. Don’t know when but this is not a Suunto issue.

I’m having the same issue. Also iPhone 12 Pro to 17 Pro upgrade, combined with a new Suunto Race 2.
Glad to hear a solution could be on the way in a future iOS update.

I find it interesting, that when “Disconnected” state appears, switching back and forth “Airplane mode” resolves issue and watch is syncing again 😕

I have the same problem with my iPhone Air and Suunto Race 2. My only solution for now is to turn off the watch, unpair the phone and the watch, and then pair them again. I hope they find a fix soon.

I finally received an official message from Suunto. A pop-up in the Suunto App stated that they’re aware of the Bluetooth connectivity issue with iPhone 17 and are working together with Apple to resolve the problem.

Same here… Suunto Race Titanium and iPhone 17.
My workaround is pairing with an old Android device.

                            Oh no…
“You can expect iOS 26.1 to be released in early November. Apple is expected to make the update available on 3 or 4 November 2025.”

I won’t be able to connect my watch to the iPhone 17 for that long.
I don’t want to install a beta version because I don’t want any more bugs.

I can confirm the latest Apple iOS beta seems to resolve this. iPhone 17Pro and Race 2 - no issues
