This is not possible, right? Is there a correct updated manual out there? If not, can someone forward this? Thanks.

Just receive mine… damn this is the most comfortable suunto I ever wear 😮
And it is lighter than my enduro 3 by few grams but I feel much more lighter as it is way thinner

@Josaiplu Congrats on your purchase. How do the buttons feel? Solid like the ones of V1?

@Highlands thanks, they are less sturdy, moving a little bit laterally, feels solid but not like tank solid, the watch finish and quality is still impressive

Hi. I’ve noticed phantom touches in the shower with the SV2 after gym activity (possibly sweat?), something I’d never noticed before on the RC 1. The screen went into settings and activated POWER SAVING mode.😄
I know I could leave it outside the shower, but I’m worried about the screens changing during swimming. Is there any activation involved? Has anyone experienced this?

Hello again. What I’ve noticed is that on my (Vertical 2), when the morning briefing is enabled or available, the flashlight cannot be activated or any action given with a button. Once you’ve read or canceled the morning briefing, you can activate it.
You can even see that the flashlight is on after the briefing is completed or canceled. The morning briefing disables functions during this time.

In case someone already knows… How scratch-resistant is the black/dark grey crown on the titanium version?

@Elmiuel in my understanding the shortcuts only works when you are on the watch face so as the morning report is a different screen it is not supposed to work in the current implementation. In the dc rainmaker review it says that Suunto is aware of these “issues” (like the fact flash light did not remember last brightness) and it will maybe be corrected we’ll see

@Elmiuel I have the V1 and that does also suffer from phantom swipes in the shower

@helgonet12 for me it got after two weeks good with Race 2. During work day when i am at office a usually get from 100% to 70-80% but if i do some hike or ride i can get lower than 50%. And i didn’t do really exhausting activity yet. So for me it looks good. Better than old Suunto 5 where i used all resources by sitting at PC 😄

Guys as I mentioned before I had used S9B for over 5 years V2 has a bit different menu and I cannot find option to change/choose GPS satellites. I mean GPS+Galileo or Glonass etc. Where is it?

                                  Kind regards,

@tomahawk5000 It’s not available in the Vertical. It uses all systems by default.

Does anyone know haw good sapphire screen is in vertical 2? My five years old S9B hadn’t had any scratch in the screen, may I count on the same reliable here or should I buy any screen protector?

                                      Kind regards,

@tomahawk5000 no need of screen protection. Let your watch breathe freely ! (More seriously : since S9b all the Suunto’s I’ve had/ have with sapphire glass have not any scratches, so yes you can count on same reliability at least)

@tomahawk5000 There is no need to choose GPS + Glonass or Galileo anymore. It receives signals from all satellite systems at the same time, including Japanese and Chinese systems in addition to those three.

                                            Hello Dear Forum-Members,

could someone of you Vertical 2-Owners describe, how to get a “downhill distance” during activity? For example: I`am on my way down from the Nanga Parbat and after some hours the knees are aching and I want to know the differnce in altitude until I reach the next bivac. The german descrition of the Vertical 2 on the suunto hompage isn´t clear in that point, because the touch-screen is disabled during activities.
