Suunto Vertical 2 General Discussion
-
@VoiGAS I agree. For looks it is the titianium, for durability it is the standard. The standard bezels really can take a bit of stress.
-
@Stavrogin You are right - the Vertical is my first Titanium Suunto and the only one with scratches. Amit3, 5, 9P and Race S were really tough with the steel bezel. On a smaller/lighter watch I would always choose steel now - but Vertical Steel is too heavy
-
@Audaxjoe Yeah, me too. Beeing a big fan of titanium on Citizen Watches and Bike parts. I also have a lot of Titanium in my leg, so we have a very close relationsship ;-). What I can say is that not all Titanium is the same - my Citizen Watches are great and free from any scratches
-
I think with brushed titanium scratches don’t matter, on the bike for example you can just sandpaper them out!!
But I am not sure how much of the V2 is titanium, is it just he bezel? Would it look odd if this was a different colour?

I got my new Vertical2 today. I wanted to download some watch faces from the watch. Unfortunately, the app isn’t showing any preview images anymore, so I can’t see which ones I want. What’s going on now?
-
@Sportsfreund is the watch updated? usually they need an update when new.
-
@Stavrogin yes today delivered from Vantaa. Mean the store. There are all watchfaces only white.
-
@Sportsfreund Yeah! I think this is known by Suunto. I have the problem as well. There was a problem with the 9 Peak Pro. It just erased all the watch faces. Suunto fixed that in a few days, but since then the watchfaces are not shown in the app. On the watch I don’t have problems

@pavel.samokha Hi, I’m experiencing something with the V2 that I didn’t experience with the V1: after starting a run between not too tall buildings (4 floors), the route recording is almost always lost and inaccurate, the way back is always fine. The V1 has basically never made a mistake at the same place. Has anyone had a similar experience? The GPS fixation before the start is the same, i.e. several tens of seconds.

-
@Martin-Vrska It’s worth waiting a few minutes before starting your activity. The AGSM data may be out of date. A green GPS indicator doesn’t always indicate a perfect signal. As you can see, during the run, the signal stabilized and the results were accurate.
