Blood oxygen
-
@cheetah694 For me it doesn’t structure my workouts, but I noticed it was a good indicator for altitude adaptation, and it helped “temper” my speed expectation on some trails
-
@Piiipmatz I have the same problem, but I believe that the measurements at night are incorrect.
-
we have a known issue about blood oxygen reporting very low values. If you have this please report the version you are on
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos 2.46.14
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos i have 2.46.14
Since last firmware update i notice every night Blood Oxygen is reporting around 92% before update it was usually 96-98%. And i am not able to measure manually. Tried many times in last days. Even tried soft reset. No change. Unable to measure manually.Update: after soft reset it is even worse, last night 88%, soon i will need oxygen mask

Update2: after rollback to 2.46.4 manually measures again, but results are low values. 88-93%, after 5th try i finally got 98% but since other 4 was around 90% it is hard to trust
Update3: two nights after rollback bloodoxygen worked and measured 96-98% rannge

i have the same problem. My Race 2 cannot measure the blood oxygen by manual.The software version is 2.48.16.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Same probleme. Low measurements and no manual possible. SW 2.48.16 app Android 6.4.7
-
I had problems before but with 2.48.16 it works fine. Did you tried soft reset?
-
@Eddy-De-Backer unfortunately, i tried to soft reset but it did not work for me.
-
@S.Pichi the same for me
-
@Eddy-De-Backer Same issue no manual measures , soft reset didn’t help.
-
My Suunto Race 2 stopped measuring blood oxygen after updating to version 2.48.16. Manual measurements don’t work at all, and the nighttime readings are inaccurate. A soft reset didn’t help.
-
My watch too

-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos when i try manually have consistently below 90% saturation with firmware 2.48.16 on 9Peak Pro, but nightly measurement are ok (98-100%)
-
It worked for me well but last two nights bloodoxygen recorded around 85% and i am not able to measure manually. Restart didn’t helped too.
Prior this i had one night watch on night table instead of hand. Not sure if related to it.
-
If Suunto dive computers are as accurate as the Race 2, then good night.

@Tomas5 Hey, I’m going to try to describe how the oxygen measurement (which works very reliably on all Suunto watches, by the way) works. The most important thing to note is that any light shining on the sensor negatively affects the measurement. To ensure reliable readings during the day, I take the watch off and hold it on my wrist where it usually sits. I don’t fasten the strap, though. I hold the watch between two fingers, then gently press it against my skin and start the measurement without moving my hands. This gives you perfect control and shows you that no light is reaching the sensor. Just try it out. The important thing is not to press the watch down hard, just gently.

Whats going on in this Forum. Wants to help and got 2 dislikes! Whats wrong with you 🤮

@GiPFELKiND Ich meine nur dass die Messung auch beim normalen Tragen supi funktioniert.
