      Hello,
New product that seems with more diving features than the ocean.
Does anyone have any info on the customizable displays of the Nautic ? This is the feature I’m waiting for on the ocean.

I think that so far, we ‘normal users’ don’t know any more than what is stated on the official websites.
I hope and wish that the features of the Nautic S will also find their way onto the Ocean with the next firmware update.

          Ocean killer.

Suunto should refund customers who relied on the product after discontinuing the Suunto Ocean (diving computer) in less than a year, or at least offer a discount equivalent to the value of the Ocean so that buyers can purchase the new Nautic.

@diogao13 why? Suunto Ocean is not discontinued.
            Nautic is not a replacement.

            Ocean: dive plus multisports
            Nautic: dive only

@Egika Would be great if you would do Suuntos marketing 😉. Not easy to understand currently just looking at the website

@diogao13 I don’t want to think about the demise of the Ocean, and I hope it doesn’t happen. The Ocean is more than just a dive computer, and that’s precisely why it’s so popular.
In my opinion, Suunto would save itself a lot of trouble if it clarified all this with the next Ocean firmware update.
If not, I can imagine that quite a few Ocean users will switch to another well-known manufacturer.

@trianst @diogao13 I do not own a Ocean and I do not work for Suunto but I have some things clear about the product:

                  • Is not discontinued and different than the Nautic S, Ocean is dive computer + sports watch, Nautic S only dive computer

                  • The updates in the Ocean will be always behind the other Sport watches from Suunto, the dive capabilities are the ones that make the upgrades slower. Dive computer have to comply with different regulations than sport watches that makes that the testing must be more accurate and thorough. This has been told from the day one of the Ocean.

                    @cosme.costa

Understandable for the multi sports but completely puzzling why the premium dive watch has less features than the budget unit.

@cosme.costa Thanks for pointing that out.
It is, of course, understandable that firmware updates for dive computers need to be checked more thoroughly/accurately.
Now I hope even more that the features of the Nautic S will also be included in the Ocean in the next update, as the hardware is almost the same (please correct me if I’m wrong) 😉

@trianst Exactly, I think that the 2 gears are different and complementary. Ocean is a multisports watch, not only a dive computer like the Nautic S. But as you say, the Ocean must have an upgrade of its firmware.

Seeing this new dive computer, my first thought was, wow, that would be a great cycling computer device thingie!
