@TED77 out of the current Suunto models, I believe only Suunto Run supports rotating the display by 180°.
Hope this feature would eventually come to other watches, but that seems unlikely

Well I have a Fenix 7 solar and Suunto Race (I’ve had these two watches for over a year now). And I can tell you that I’m using more and more Race. Data is really well interpreted in a way that you don’t have to dig around to get to things you want to know or are useful for you. It’s simplyfied down, but not in a way that it’s less usefull, but in a more useful way for you as a user. I hope I’m being reasonable here
There are metrics that are totaly usless on my fenix (for me at least), but are represented as a holy grail. Some numbers even numb you down when you look at them (stress, body battery, training readiness an so on).
And there’s problems with barometer - a lot of times showing wrong altitude, so you have to calibrate it all the time. And everytime I descend with my car into the valley it goes nuts with storm alert.
Maps are another story - they are super detailed, but take a long time to even turn around.
Then comes LiveTrack - in my opinion the most useful thing on a garmin watch. It just works and works perfectly. But since we have a Livetrack on Suunto now, it’s ok.So that’s just my opinion here

@hatori_hanzo totally agree. I’ve just been getting into using zonesense and am really impressed with how well this works. Its really improved how I train. An extremely useful but relatively easy tool to use and backs up your point about presentation and simplification of relevant information. No digging around, its just there and works. Love this feature of suunto.

How is the size of the Race 2 compared to the Fenix 7?

@2b2bff I can only say for Race 1, but I think Race 2 is the same in size.
Compared to fenix, they’re about the same even though fenix is 47 mm and race is 49 mm in width. They feel kind of the same. I think it’s the bezel size and pins that hold the wrist belt. On Race they are a bit steeper, so the whole size looks a bit more compact, and on the other hand Fenix is more spread out, so it feels a bit larger. -
@2b2bff I have both and the Race 2 is a monster screen compared to the Fenix 7 Pro. 1.5 seems to dwarf the 1.3. Fenix’s seem to have a lot of metal and fluff outside the display where the Suunto is more of a display first display on the wrist. When I have the Suunto on my wrist it feels like an instrument vs the Garmin feels like a fashiony display. Just my opinion.

@Stavrogin I have a Race S and an Epix Pro 47mm here. I think the Epix is a tad too large for me, but bearable. I wonder how the Race 2 would feel…

@2b2bff I think it would be too large in that case. The Fenix 7 pro (47mm) and the Race S feel similar even though there are all those metal bits around the Fenix screen. The Race 2 will seem really really big because it is all display.
When I first put on the Race 2 and the Vertical 2 they seemed comically big due to the 1.5 screen. It felt bigger than a 51mm Fenix/Epix because of the still larger screen.
The Race S is a great compact running watch that does great on the trails and on the street for me running.

@Stavrogin I don’t know whether I would call the Race S and Epix Pro 47mm similar. The Race S is physically smaller and slimmer. But I guess you are correct that the Race 2 would be too large for me…

@2b2bff From the pictures above there is a good chance that the Race 2 will hang off the sides of your wrist. It looks like the Epix is hanging off a bit.
