Suunto Firmware 2.50.26 Released – SpO₂ Issue Fixed on Vertical 2

Update for Vertical 2 users regarding SpO₂:
After long-standing reports and discussions about the SpO₂ measurement degrading over time or stopping completely, a new firmware update (version 2.50.26) has been released as a staged rollout starting January 7th, 2026.
I’ve installed the update and after multiple tests, I can confirm that the SpO₂ widget is now working properly, consistently, and with stable readings.
This strongly confirms that the issue was software-related rather than a hardware limitation, as previously acknowledged.
In my previous experience, the problem typically reappeared after 2–3 weeks of continuous use (measurements gradually becoming inaccurate and eventually stopping). Hopefully, this update provides a permanent fix, addressing long-term sensor service stability, memory management, and overall lifecycle reliability.
I’ll continue monitoring performance over the coming weeks, but so far the results are very promising.
