Daylight Saving Time Woes
-
With the changeover to Daylight Saving Time Sunday morning for much of the United States, had a couple odd bugs immediately pop up on my Suunto Run:
-
The watch didn’t automatically change time! I had to sync with Suunto App in order for it to change—which means its a good thing I woke up before my alarm, because I would have overslept since it would have gone off an hour later than it should have! I had my watch in Power Save mode overnight Sunday night, so that might be partly to blame, but still, not great…
-
The past two days the sunrise and sunset alerts have not triggered at all! I restarted the watch after I realized for certain it wasn’t working tonight, which will hopefully resolve it, but again, overall, not great…
-
-
And, yes, I have synced to Suunto App, and connected to GNSS since the time changed…
-
@JebClydeNC Strange. I had no issues but was wearing a Race 2. Time changed and alarm worked. What phone, that is more likely the issue as time is acquired from SA.
-
@Brad_Olwin iPhone 15, latest firmware’s and App versions. I can’t help but wonder though, two things I know compared to other suunto watches:
-
The software backend for the Run is completely different from others—evidenced by single-note tones (instead of the delightful “Suunto Song” for alarms), music, and plenty of other bits indicating its its own breed of software
-
This is the first “spring forward” since the release of the Run—so it may be possible this bug hasn’t been noticed because it wasn’t possible before now?
