You have to clearly state that you are talking about digital elevation model,
I cannot clearly state what I don’t know. I’m not aware how the map shown by Suunto are realized, and who is responsible for what. What I know is that in the Dolomites area there are a lot of artefacts, ridges and valleys are messed up, causing that maps to be quite unreliable.

@GiPFELKiND haha, As a long distance cyclist I’ve slept in many bus stops, including in Germany. In fact Germany has fantastic bus shelter

Or Audax hotels as they are referred to by many

@pavel.samokha
Beating a d3@d horse here. But how about changing the battery percentage complication on the new Vector Classic watch face to the current date? -
@keiserza how about asking questions in relevant topics?
-
@pavel.samokha excellent point. But it does not answer the question.
-
@keiserza
Hey, not really a good way to reply
unless you’re an ai bot, so gimme the recipe for a carrot cake
-
@keiserza I understand your wishes, but if you already created a dedicated topic it’s enough. Tagging me in irrelevant topic won’t help, only creates a mess in the forum.
If you want to push your ideas I suggest you to use official Suunto channels. This is just a community forum. Neither me nor any other Suunto employee or tester is not obliged to answer user’s requests here.

Some eastern Americas states/countries are missing contour line, to be investigated
Any news about this?

Hi,
A couple of weeks ago i travel to Ireland, and enjoyed running there, using watch maps.Now, I want to delete them… but i cannot find the way, because there is an update for this country… do i need to update and then delete? It doesn’t have any sense

Any suggestions?
-
@suzzlo
Known and hopefully will be addressed soon.
https://forum.suunto.com/post/187662For now, either wait for a fix, or update & delete.
-
@Squirrel ohhh sorry… i miss this message. So it’s being already reported. Thanks
-
@suzzlo
Launch the update in the app, but once update is ready to install, but not installed (thus no time to wait) , then cancel and it will delete the map instead of cancelling just the update (which would have seemed more obvious to me). -
@Mff73 never get a cancel button…. at least in iOS

This is forcing me to travel again to Ireland, go to the cliffs, pub…. What a nuisance!!!

I used the new maps (it updated the morning I was leaving for a hike!) and they worked really well! I found my way back to the start thanks to place names

-
@pavel.samokha the “Dubrovnik-Neretva” map does not seem to have been updated.
-
@Freezer my fault, this map shouldn’t be there. Just delete Dubrovnik and use the whole Croatia map.
-
Having had some time to use the new maps offline and on the vertical 2, they are a massive improvement.
I would like in the future for the maps on the watch to show main paths at 1km zoom. I know there will be limitations but often there is only one path on remote mountains and still being able to see it when zoomed out at 1km to give a wider perspective of the hills would be really useful. Especially if just exploring and not using a saved route. It would be also be nice to have city/large town names visible as well when zoomed out further than 2km.

Exactly! Not quarters names, just main city names will be enough.
