A black hole on the wrist
-
I’ll start by saying that I really like the design of this vertical watch. What I really can’t stand is having this black hole on my wrist. The dials are beautiful, but when in AOD mode, they’re too plain. Even the analog dials have only two colored bars. I’d like to see the rest of the dial with a little more information without activating the display every time I pick something up or move my arm. It would also give more importance to the wearer’s wrist, making it look banal and similar to even cheaper watches. I hope Suunto does something about this AOD mode. It’s great that the display’s highest brightness can be activated while still remaining in AOD.

@Luca-C. For example…

@Luca-C. Yes please.

I happen to like Vertical Week and it’s AOD…

@2b2bff Yes, but it’s still a digital timetable with an extra text.

@2b2bff I think this one is a good example of a good AOD watch face. You only need to like to have the slogan on your wrist

I agree, wrote about the same in the past, I understand the need of preserving the battery and avoid screen burn-in, but many nice watchfaces have actually an unpleasant AOD mode

This slogan, I do. I mean I also have a bright orange strap screaming Suunto…
