Also leaving Suunto Chest Strap for Polar

I’ve been through many activities where i struggled with the Suunto smart chest strap that was either too low or too high. I’ve changed batteries and tried restarting multiple times.
I recently bought a Polar H9 and found that it pairs to my Peak Pro. On my last activity the Polar chest strap performed flawlessly!
So I’m using the Polar H9 now! It’s just so much better. I have no use for the Smart Function of the Suunto Strap. -
@mdavis121212 what smart functions are available with the suunto strap?

@Kevin Suunto’s heart rate strap is “smart” in the sense that it has build in memory, meaning that if the watch looses connection for example when swimming, data still gets recorded. Then when ending the activity, the data gets sent over to the watch.

I’ve never found a chest strap that’s comfortable enough for me during long runs. I’ve been using the Polar Verity Sense for quite a while now, I wear the band on my upper forearm. It’s comfortable, accurate, solid battery life (I charge it twice a month) and it works great with my Vertical
