Spot on!
-
In the town centre, there’s a castle on top of a hill where I sometimes go for a run… It was the first time I’d used the Race S there, and I’m really surprised at how accurately it tracked the altitude. It was spot on for every peak and even on the way back, throughout the whole hour I spent there! I’ve never seen anything like this on my 9 Baro…

@snow
Wow! Impressive.
Finally something the Race S is accurate with!
-
@sindavide At least for me GPS and Heartrate (since the latest update and textile strap) also are “Spot on”. You see problems with the RaceS regarding accuracy?
-
@VoiGAS
No complaints about GPS, however:- wrist HR is quite bad, especially in certain sport modes
- sleep tracking is not accurate: does not detect short sleep interruption
- wrist HR during swimming is BAD.
Not to mention many bugs of latest firmware, from high battery consumption, to erratic behaviours
-
@sindavide I see. Regarding the HR issue I think the textile strap helps a lot. In my case the Athletic 7

This is mainly an indication there was no significant change in airpressure during your recording.
My experience with race s accuracy:
The gps is good enough. But so was the one on my ambit 3 sport 15 years ago.
Optical heart during activities isn’t very good. But neither was any of my previous watches with an optical sensor.
Optical heart during rest of the day. It’s fine. And so were all my previous watches.
Sleeptracking. Probably rubbish. But I just listen to my body and can recognize when I wake up and feeling refreshed or still tired and act accordingly.
Training load/recovery stats? Meh. Same as sleeptracking.
Number of annoyances. Way less than my previous watch.(These are my experiences. Yours may differ)
