Offline maps very slow download?

Hello,
I just bought a Race 2 and am very impressed with the watch overall (upgraded from Race S).
I am trying to download offline maps, and the progress is very very slow - and progress sometimes go backwards (e.g. from 7% back to 5%).
I have searched the forums but could not find any topics addressing this issue.
I have the latest firmware update and the watch is on the charger close to my access point (connection is -57dBm).
